Wildgrass was starting to feel the consequences of his leftover cheese burrito breakfast bubbling in his stomach. Why did he decide to eat that burrito that had been sitting in his fridge for who knows how long? More importantly, why did it have to taste so good? What a waste. At least his workday was slow. There weren’t many missions on the horizon, outside of a ...

Recovery Team 53: The Meeting – 1
Wildgrass used the corner of his bath towel to dry his ears as he walked through his apartment nude. The door to his apartment creaked open, and a body slipped out at the same time a familiar face walked in. Wildgrass looked at his best friend, who was probably curious about the redhead who just slipped out, but in truth, Wildgrass had already forgotten his name.
Odie smirked as he took a seat in the den, not bothered at all that his best friend was completely nude. Wildgrass rolled the towel...

The Traveler’s Moon
Part One
David Chambers leaned back in his chair after he clocked in on his desktop computer. He was not looking forward to another twelve-hour night shift for the Virginia State Police Department. The precinct was full of troopers rushing by and detectives buried in their computers. The smell of pizza wafted in from the breakroom, beckoning him to the box. He started to get up when his two best friends, Ben and Cody, walked into his line of sight. David cracked a smile and swiveled his chair...

The Death Dragon’s Apprentice
Flume washed his hands and feet in the water basin outside of his family’s cozy mud hut, eager to go out exploring now that he’d finished his daily chores. He shook his wet feet dry as best he could before running through the back door that led into their small kitchen, where his grandma was preparing breakfast. Marble, his one-year-old sister, tottered around, picking up toys and placing them on the benches.
“Grandma, what’s that thing you’re using?” Flume asked as he watched his grandma rea...

Leap Year
The sun hid behind the clouds as a chilling wind blew through the window of Kim’s truck. She slowed at the intersection, looking both ways before making a turn on Ellen Avenue. She turned the large black steering wheel of her delivery truck looking down the road she could already see the sign for Kent Commons Mall peeking out. Kim made it a half a block before the traffic started to crawl. She sat back and relaxed, it was early, and there was no use getting worked up over Saturday morning...

I am so excited about the release of my newest novel that I put together a little interview with the characters. I love these characters, they are the heart and soul of the story, and I hope the world falls in love with them like I have.

Tackling Revision, Sorting Out the Mess
Welp, September has arrived in all its humid, hybrid summer/fall glory. To some it’s the start of school, to others its maybe the start of spooky season, for me it means it’s revision time. I am not a fan of revision, but boy do my stories sound 100 percent better afterward. With that being said it’s imperative to me that I hammer down a solid revision plan. Now given my background in creative writing, you’d think I’d be better prepared, but unsurprisingly I’m not. But I’m going to try anyway...

Save the Date, Make it Real
June 20th, 2019. I’m putting it out there, and I’m claiming it!
As you may have heard on my social media sites, I announced that I will be publishing the first book in The Rean Coalition of Rangers Series entitled The Distance Between. While no one can say for sure that things will go as smoothly as planned, I’m putting it out there and claiming it for myself.
Often times we have dreams, goals, and aspirations and while we may want them very much, I can’t stress enough about setting a date. A...
