From stories whispered down generations to the vibrant threads of her own life, Lynn's journey is a testament to creativity and compassion. Many encouraged me to do this over an extended number of years. I never felt the timing was right, and refused every opportunity. I succumbed to some serious encouragement a year ago to attend a local writers' conference. While it was truly a God thing and His perfect timing, I know this book would still be ideas in a folder hanging out under my desk had I said, "no" once again. You'll make wonderful new friends, too. (less)

Printing Presses, The Protestant Reformation, & Halloween: The Connection

October is my favorite month–maybe because the weather and the leaves change (and I celebrate another birthday). It’s also the month of the Protestant Reformation and Halloween. Martin Luther chose the date wisely for nailing his 95 theses to the church door in Wittenberg.

“Martin Luther is said to have posted his Ninety-Five Theses to the door of All Saints’ Church (also called Castle Chur
