Why I've removed "Tweet This" and "Share This" plugins
For those who have been asking, I've removed these plugins because they were starting to slow down my site as well as sometimes hanging it (mid-post). Snooping online confirmed that others have experienced problems with these plugins as well.
Here's another reason for minimizing the number of plugins you use in your Wordpress site.

One of the great challenges of Twitter is to get across your personality in 140 characters or less: a challenge for any writer. Here are just a few of my recent favourites:
I love to see people using the interrobang in their tweets: ‽ Maybe it will gain popularity because it saves a character. A girl can dream.
At the recommendation of many people, I have played PLANTS VS. ZOMBIES. I have now uninstalled it. My agent would kill me if I didn't.

1000/500 Words A Day Weekly Check-In
Productivity Tip: I've recently gotten into the habit of starting a timer on my computer when I start writing, to make myself more aware of how long I can write WITHOUT being distracted by the urge to check e-mail, Twitter, etc.
So how have you all been doing with your challenges? Any productivity tips to share?

Just discovered AuthorScoop, a great site for writers from William Haskins (@AuthorScoop on Twitter). LOTS of wonderful content here, including daily "LitLinks." William also has samples of his poetry online; I especially enjoyed La Femme Qui Pleure.
