Font Nerd Survey
(Before embedding, see my cartoon licensing info.)
I recently asked writers on Twitter what font they used to write. Here are some of the responses:
@jmSapereAude: Times New Roman 12pt.
@LitchicInk: I'm partial to Palatino. Also like Garamond. Courier=Nostalgia.
@danamhuff: I am a boring Times New Roman size 12 nerd. You can't beat the English teacher out of my writing.
@estherschindler: Default in text editor.

This is the first of a series of posts I'm going to be writing with concrete tips, examples and strategies to help writers get the most out of Twitter.
I'm going to assume you already know the basics; if you don't, please read the excellent post Mitali Perkins wrote: Getting Started on Twitter: A Quick Guide for Kid/YA Writers. Even if you're not a Kid/YA writer, you'll find these newbie tips useful!

You can view the archived posts and transcripts here.
#kidlitchat isn't the only Twitter chat for writers, of course. To see a schedule of chats for writ

Words Move Me
Sony has launched a Twitter-like social network where users post their favorite quotes. As this Techcrunch review says, though, it'll be a lot more useful when it's able to interact with other social networks.

Thanks To Keeth Ink

Thanks so much to Sara Keeth for doing a Follow Friday post about me in her blog today.
For those not on Twitter, #followfriday is a tradition where you highlight a few of your favourite Twitter people. It can be a great way to find new people to follow. Every Friday, I browse Twitterfeeds of those in the publishing industry to see what feeds they pick for their Follow Friday choices.
Thanks so much, Sara!
