I was contacted by the lovely Molly from BeeBeeCrafts.com a few weeks ago, asking if I would be interested in reviewing some of their supplies for my Youtube channel. I was obviously thrilled to be offered an opportunity to try a new store and be given some fabulous free products, and they gave me an amount to spend on their store.
I had a $40 spend and a maximum of 5 items with the free shipping. So I chose kits to get the most out of the amount and it gives me an array of goodies to play with. They have so many kits to choose from so it was not that easy to narrow it down. Like a kid in a candy store, my eyes were wide with wonder.

Now two hours lost in the ‘oooh’ and ‘ahhh’ of looking at craft supplies, I finally settled on a combination of jewellery kits to create some fabulous pieces with them working together in unity at the back of my mind. I plan on combining these with my resin and have a couple of videos planned. I have to say though, I have earmarked 25 other crafts besides jewellery I definitely want to do, LOL
Nothing excites me more than new goodies and new ideas, and with Christmas just around the corner, I may even gift them to loved ones when I am done.

Christmas Tree Table/Desk Decor – Easy DIY
I love Christmas decorations and every year I cannot resist adding to my growing pile of them by making a new easy DIY that others can replicate. This year it’s table, desk or shelf decor as I plan on putting new bookcases in my living room before Christmas and setting a table with these cuties. I may or may not already have the smallest pink one sitting on my PC to keep me feeling festive.
As a writer though , someone who sits at a desk to work, then these are a great idea to bring some goodwill spirit to your work space or even your office. Can be made in any colour and you can add any personalisation as you see fit.
I made an array of colours for you to see how customisable these are and that they can be made as place settings at a table or as large ornaments to group together or add to a display.
As usual the list of supplies will be below the video.
They are incredibly easy to make and customise, so watch the video to see how. In fact, the large white one was made in colours to suit my daughters current obsession. Pentatonix, and the release of their new album. She wanted it to match, as her tree for her bedroom is going to be decorated in the same theme. The small blue and white is for Heather, the recipient of my Mermaid gift set as she loves blue. This one is for her own art desk.
Mine of course are the other 3 – Green for my elf themed livingroom, rustic for my hall and pink for my own desk.
Happy Crafting x

Craft with me – Mermaid gift card, tag and bag set
I designed a fair few arty pieces these past couple of weeks for my redbubble shop and one in particular became a firm favourite. This little shy Mermaid is so cute and I just love the chaotic background and colour palette, that I decided she would be great on a matching gift set.
My friend Heather is obsessed with the sea, blues, ocean related things, so what better opportunity to sort her Christmas present out and make it ultra cute. The present I pack on screen (which is one of my makes and can be found here) is only her small part and I kept the large present away in case she does find this video or blog, LOL. She doesn’t watch craft videos or mosey to my blog very often so I am sure this secret will be safe between us all.
I have created an easy printable file which you can access below. It’s a PDF and can be printed on A4 card in white or cream. It has 4 gift tags, 2 small images for cards, boxes, even larger tags and one larger image for a gift bag or large card. I have added an extra sheet with different sized tags too.
Just print as many as you like and tag me on FB using #OCFcrafts so I can find you, or tag my creative page here – https://www.facebook.com/OCFCrafts
I have filmed my process to give you ideas on how to use the printable and would love to know if you do use them. Although it is just a guide and you can use them in any way you like.
If paper-crafts are not your thing , you can still print the tags from the extra tag sheet below and just cut them out to adorn presents. No fuss, just cut out and use. Just print them out on a high quality colour setting.
The bag template
The bag I make on screen was a quick made up bag to suit the piece of paper I had left over. I found these easy templates for you to use if making bags is not your thing and my bag is hard to follow. 16 different templates so you can choose the style you want.

Art Therapy and My Print Shop
The past few days I have been really getting back to my roots and spending time with my art journal and paints. As a child I would draw and paint every chance I got but as an adult it was pushed aside for more ‘mature’ ventures.
It’s no secret I have been having a tough year and my writing brain has been mush. I have started back at writing the next book but if I force myself when I feel unable to write then a rubbish book will be the end product. I have found that taking time out to rediscover my love of mixed media and starting over to brush up on long forgotten skills has been so pleasurable.
It’s a great mind escape and the process helps quieten my hyperactive brain for a few hours at a time.
I have transferred some of my favourite design to My Print Shop on Redbubble (You can find all below and a lot more.)
The shop has two purposes – one is for the Carrero fandom and all their merch and the other is for OCF designs which is my vibrant, cutesy, arty side.
I love that I am starting to find my style again and my obsession with colour and funky backgrounds is coming alive once more. I still have a lot to learn as I get back into it and hope to continue to improve as I do. Each one of these designs is hours of happy time, freedom from problems and finding my inner peace.
Enjoy my newest designs xx

#OCFCreativeChallenge for November!
Good morning all. It’s Sunday and a cold, wet, miserable day already even though it is only 8 am. It’s Scotland though so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. Rain, clouds, cold weather is all part of its charm. Perfect day for soup on the cooker, staying indoors in cosy sweaters and sitting at my desk to create.
It’s with great excitement I present the new challenge in our creative circles and post the new theme on here for all to see. I myself have started with a lazy art journal page and the video will be below.
The Challenge –
[image error]
The colour Palette, as you can see, is GALAXY.
So what does that mean?
It means starry nights, universe, space images, dark hues of blue and black and grey, paired with pinks and purples and blues….any colours you can find in a beautiful image of the galaxy.
The word prompt is FANTASY, which is pretty self explanatory but you do not need to use the word prompt in conjunction with the palette. Go wild, let your imagination lead you and nothing needs to make sense.
This is an all crafts challenge. That means whether you draw, sew, knit, paint, sculpt, paper-craft…… even if your craft is gluing buttons to canvas or book folding. Anyone can join in!!!
Just post your work to your profile or ours (OCF craft group) and use the hashtag #OCFCreativeChallenge.
At the end of November we shall publish a YouTube video showing off all the entries we can find in a special video.
So what’s stopping you? Doodle, create, enjoy. This is a fun challenge and you can make multiple pieces all month.
I opted for some quiet Saturday time with my art journal to make a start on mine but intend to switch up to another crafts later in the week.
The purpose of this journal is to relax, not try too hard and just let my mediums play. The result is not always a masterpiece but it’s relaxing and allows me to grow with my skills while keeping a progress check in the form of cute art.
The video –
If you are a follower of my channel you will also see I have uploaded a new Christmas Decor video. I try and make one every year to add some new cuteness to my tree. This one is for wrapped Candy decor. It’s very simple and easy to follow and has verbal instructions to go with what I am doing.
Enjoy!
