5 Poundland Christmas DIY’s as we near the month of December.

Sunday signals the day I officially put up my tree so to kick start my month long prepping for Christmas I have recorded 5 simple and cheap DIYS that I was doing for my own home.

We have an elf themed tree and love novelty cutesy Xmas decor this year. So with that in mind and sticking to a budget, I shopped at Poundland and Poundshop.com and my own stash to make some simple crafts. I will have a lot more to do over the next few weeks and invite you to try a few of these easy ones for now.

These are beyond simple.

We have an Advent activity calendar, Magical reindeer food, Personalised bauble, Pet stocking and a novelty badge to adorn your clothing.

As everything was purchased in the two shops mentioned then I don’t need to list the supplies.

Shop your stash, check out your kids craft stock and see what you can come up with.

How To Make Really Simple UV Resin Snowflake Charms and New Resin Mini Review

I made this very simple and adorable set of charms and wanted to share the easy technique with you. it works with any small resin shape and could be applied to any theme.

The video

The supplies

I couldn’t locate some of my supplies as I have had them so long, so found some great alternatives.
Snowflake mould
Circle mould I cut the little tabs out of my moulds so they don’t create a hole
White glitter
White resin tint
Blue pearl pigment
Snowflake bail

About the resin

This resin is a china branded one I bought on ebay to try out.

I absolutely love this resin. After using a few different brands and having issues with surface tackiness and sometimes a strong smell, I found this to be a joy to use. I had no issue with smell, it’s subtle and it cured fast and left minimal to no residue.
When put under my large UV light it cured completely and kept its shine. I have found with some brands the tacky residue has to be removed and leaves a semi matte finish which looks grubby. This had none of that. It made shiny, cute pieces with no effort at all. I cured for an overall 15 minutes, but honestly i don’t think it needed that long at all.
It was a great price compared to other brands , quick dispatch and delivery from the seller I used and well packed. I purchased the 200ml bottle, which is the largest size and I decanted some into smaller bottle to use a nozzle tip and would recommend you do the same for easier use.
I think I will be sticking with this brand from now on and give it a 5 star rating .

Make Luxury Christmas Cards with Me

This week I sat down and designed the card I hand out to my neighbours where I live and wanted to share the process with you. It’s incredibly easy to create cute art and scan it to be printed multiple times to make a whole set, and by following my simple painting techniques, then even a beginner can do this.

If you are not wanting to be arty and create the print first then you can skip right to my printable and then watch the second part of the video to assemble cards just like mine. I shopped my craft stash and these cards cost me nothing except my time. Alternatively you can go right to Canva.com and create your own card using their library of Christmas images and clip art.

To make your own print, simply scan your art on the best quality you can with your scanner. Copy the image to Canva.com which is a free editing tool (one I use for everything) and then you can add text or any overlays to prettify it. Download as a printable PDF. Print the design on good quality white or cream card and you have the makings of a pretty Xmas card set for your friends, neighbours or family.

I have also included a tag PDF as a little extra.

Free Knitting Pattern – Cute Elf Tree Ornament

This is the first of 5 cute little ornaments I will share with you over the next few weeks to Christmas. So make sure you check back and look at the FREE PATTERNS page, every week to get every one. I made this little cutie to match my Elf themed decor and can’t wait to share his little friends with you as I create them. They will be various Christmas themed characters, such as a Reindeer, Santa and a couple of others. This is a great beginner knit as it is very simple and takes very little time to create.

Last video this month for Beebeecraft.com

I am wrapping up my videos for Beebeecraft with this final cute and quick jewellery. Combining some easy resin craft with the beading kits for a novelty wear that is perfect for xmas day.
With few supplies added to what I received. Here’s the video

Check out the other videos which are all posted on my blog and on my YouTube channel.

Extra supplies besides the Beebeecraft kits
Metal snowflake charms
Christmas stickers
Snowflake sequins
Mastercast 121 resin
Star charms
Nail art stars

My final thoughts on using these products.

I absolutely love the kits and the selection that I picked out. There are so many more designs I could use these in and there is so much left they will definitely be joining my craft stash to be used in all future projects. I went for a pretty basic selection , knowing I wanted to make several themed projects and hope that they were enjoyable and helpful.
I loved the quality of the beads I picked, the findings are decent, no peeling and seem a pretty substantial strength for their purpose. All too often some of the overseas supplies can be sub par but these are worth the wait. Excellent in terms of pricing and the company was a joy to deal with. No hassle, no fuss.
Overall I am a happy crafter. I have no complaints at all.
Will I be using the website again? Yes. I already have a wish list of 100 plus items that i just ‘have to’ have. I would definitely do another package and review for them and encourage you to mosy on over and check out their goodies.

Moon themed Hanging decor Using Beebeecraft products

As promised this is the first of three videos in which I use the supplies I received from Beebeecraft.com. If you want to know more about that then you can read my previous blog post – Beebeecraft Haul.

I was so excited to start creating that I dove right in with the first project I had in mind. This was a project based around this months creative challenge and thought it would be an awesome idea to combine the challenge with these items. I had this idea in mind when choosing items from their store and so pleased with how it turned out.

To join the creative challenge you can read about it here – #OCFcreativechallenge. The palette is Galaxy, and the prompt word is fantasy. So, what better item to come up with than a fantasy inspired moon and planets hanger.

Without much further ado – here’s the video. Supplies will be listed below.

The Video

Supplies List

Moon jewellery kit
Bead kit
Circle Bezel
UV resin
Blue tape
Silicon cup and stirrer
Nail varnish
Glass crystals
Assorted metal stars
Micro marbles
Flat back pearls
Rhinestones
Nail sparkles
If I have failed to list something then don’t hesitate to comment.

November 15, 2019

I was contacted by the lovely Molly from BeeBeeCrafts.com a few weeks ago, asking if I would be interested in reviewing some of their supplies for my Youtube channel. I was obviously thrilled to be offered an opportunity to try a new store and be given some fabulous free products, and they gave me an amount to spend on their store.

I had a $40 spend and a maximum of 5 items with the free shipping. So I chose kits to get the most out of the amount and it gives me an array of goodies to play with. They have so many kits to choose from so it was not that easy to narrow it down. Like a kid in a candy store, my eyes were wide with wonder.

Now two hours lost in the ‘oooh’ and ‘ahhh’ of looking at craft supplies, I finally settled on a combination of jewellery kits to create some fabulous pieces with them working together in unity at the back of my mind. I plan on combining these with my resin and have a couple of videos planned. I have to say though, I have earmarked 25 other crafts besides jewellery I definitely want to do, LOL

Nothing excites me more than new goodies and new ideas, and with Christmas just around the corner, I may even gift them to loved ones when I am done.
