His Love Revealed…Birthing a Love Story Launch Team

His Love Revealed...Birthing a Love Story Launch Team authorcynthiaherron.com

Birthing another book baby means birthing another launch team. Wa-hooo!!!

The launch team is the rocket fuel in an author’s go-for-launch book baby ship. It’s the juice that propels our book into the hands of eager readers. (Click-to-Tweet)

A savvy, well-positioned launch team will ensure a successful book launch. Ideally, the team will generate buzz and continue to build on that.

Launch team members aren’t in it just for free books (though usually, the author’s book is a nice perk).

The best ...

Sometimes, We Must Multitask, Juggle, and Pivot Quickly

Sometimes, You Must Multitask, Juggle, and Pivot Quickly authorcynthiaherron.com

If there’s anything I’ve learned in the last decade, it’s that nothing stays the same. Multitasking for authors is, indeed, a way of life—even (especially) during a pandemic.

We may not like it at times, and we may rail against it. Sometimes, it will be necessary to carve out much-needed downtime in between books. But after our very first book baby is released, we must learn to multitask, juggle, and pivot quickly in the writing world.

Remaining stationary is no longer an option.

Often, we’re m...

Happy Easter In Spite of the Pandemic

Happy Easter authorcynthiaherron.com

Theres no sugar-coating it. This is a different Easter. An historical Easter, in fact. But then againisnt every Easter historical?

Christ defeated death on the cross and rose from an earthly grave. Hallelujah!

Sunday, as we celebrate Christs defeat over the grave, instead of rejoicing together in a church building, well rejoice, in spirit, in our homes.

For many, Easter will seem surreal.

Shouldnt Easter always feel this way?

For people of faith, we base our faith on something unseen...

Is This Real Life?

Is this real life? White text on yellow bloom. authorcynthiaherron.com

COVID-19. Pandemic. Sheltering-in-place. Is this real life or will we wake up soon?

No longer does this feel like the twenty-first century. Our new normal has shifted and today seems more like a bizarre movie script with enough twists and turns to surprise (and dare I say delight?) even the hard to impress film critic. (Click-to-Tweet)

Except COVID-19 isnt a movie script or a multi-layered plot devised from someones overactive imagination or creative musings.

Its a real virusa crisis eventof...

E-Books: 10 Reasons to Love Them (Especially Now)

authorcynthiaherron.com

Well, like others, this week has tied my emotions in knots.

Each day has brought something new.

Updates, facts, statisticsimportant topics to be sure, but rather depressing if we dwell on them too long.

Yes, its important we stay informed about COVID-19, but I refuse to glue myself to the news 24/7. Thats not healthy or beneficial to productivity.

As I said in my recent newsletter, there are a number of creative outlets and pursuits that we may find enjoyable at this time. The coronavirus...

I’ve Battened Down the Hatches. Now What?

authorcynthiaherron.com

When news reports of the Coronavirus initially surfaced, I couldnt conceive how widespread this disease would become. I thought it was another flu-like illness that could be bad, but would eventually run its course.

Now we know that early assumptions were wrong.

Because COVID-19 is something weve never seen before, aspects of it remain a mystery. Its clear that this virus spreads quickly and now affects a good portion of the worldwide population.

Too, were realizing there are a lot of facts...
