Don't be afraid of the blank page. The first draft is supposed to be a mess. It may take 12 drafts before you're ready to query agents. That's totally normal.

In the summer, I also hope to have time to devour some fantasy books like Frostblood by Elly Blake. If you're looking for some good twisty books, I also recommend One of Us is Lying and Follow Me Back. I'm obsessed with them both!(less)

This was the best book I've read in quite some time. I read it in just a few days. It was beautifully written with a wonderful premise.

CW: However, if you have suicidal thoughts or serious mental health issues, it may be best to skip it.

Wow. I didn't know how she was going to pull off making the antagonist of the series a hero, but boy she did. A perfect way to end the series.

It turns out that I prefer vampires to be less emo and more mysterious. I wanted to enjoy this as much as I enjoyed the original series (for what it was), but it was way too long and mopey. I can deal with vampires sparkling but not them whining.

“I didn't know why I was immune to his charms, but to me Jake was like a fat-free cookie. Sure, he looked tempting, but I'd rather hold out for something with more substance and less aftertaste" -Samantha”
