Don't be afraid of the blank page. The first draft is supposed to be a mess. It may take 12 drafts before you're ready to query agents. That's totally normal.

In the summer, I also hope to have time to devour some fantasy books like Frostblood by Elly Blake. If you're looking for some good twisty books, I also recommend One of Us is Lying and Follow Me Back. I'm obsessed with them both!(less)

This was just delightful. I would have read it in one sitting except for my pesky work and family obligations. If you are looking for a sweet, quirky, funny romp, check it out.

I don't read a ton of fantasy, so when I do it has to be excellent with intriguing characters and world building that is seamless and not too heavy. This absolutely fits the bill. I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.
I'll Be Gone in the Dark by Michelle McNamara

“I didn't know why I was immune to his charms, but to me Jake was like a fat-free cookie. Sure, he looked tempting, but I'd rather hold out for something with more substance and less aftertaste" -Samantha”
