Felt Poinsettia Pillow – Free Petal Pattern

I love making these inexpensive felt poinsettias at Christmas. I pin them to existing decorative pillow for easy and cheap holiday decor.

I made you a template that you can print off and use to create your own poinsettia pillows. You’ll need scissors, 6 sheets of felt from the Dollar Tree in the colour of your choice, hot glue and some Dollar Tree bells for the center!

Hot Chocolate Station Printable!

You can create an adorable Hot Cocoa Bar in your home and it’s faster and easier than you think!

My kids love making their own hot chocolate on cold winter days, and now they have everything they need all together in this holiday hot chocolate station. Fill your station with marshmallows, caramels, peppermint patties, sprinkles and anything else you like to add to your hot cocoa.

Grab a dollar store picture frame and add this FREE hot chocolate station printable for the finishing touch. You can download your printable HERE.

Super Soft Sugar Cookie Recipe – Quick Tip Tuesday

These easy sugar cookies are AMAZEBALLS. They are kinda like a sugar cookie and a biscuit had a baby. Super yum! They are also so crazy easy to make and you probably have all the ingredients already!

Here’s the sugar cookie recipe:

Cookies:

6 1/2 cups flour

1 cup butter

2 cups granulated sugar

2 eggs

500mL of sour cream (one tub)

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2) In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, eggs and sour cream until just combined.

3) Form dough, roll out and cut with your favorite shapes (1/4 of an in thick).

4) Bake for 10-12 minutes.

5) Let cookies cool.

Buttercream Icing:

2 cups confectioners sugar

1/2 cup butter

1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 tablespoons milk

6) While your cookies cool. Cream room temperature butter with a hand mixer until light and fluffy. 7) Add confectioners sugar, milk and vanilla extract. Beat until fully incorporated.

Dollar Store Christmas Decor 2019 – Decorate With Me

I’m all about simplifying my life and my decor for 2019. My Christmas decor this year is WAY scaled back and almost entirely from The Dollar Store (both The Dollar Tree and Dollarama).

I’m a huge believer that your holiday decorating doesn’t have to cost you a lot of time or money to be really beautiful. Dollar store garland, evergreen picks and ornaments are my go-to Christmas decor items!
