Uninterruptible Day
Last year I found myself overcommitted. I routinely worked into the evenings and weekends to try to get everything done.
One thing helped to restore sanity to my schedule. It’s probably the most helpful action I took last year. I started scheduling an Uninterruptible Day.
Tiger TimeI work in a small church without a lot of administrative help. I also work quarter-time in training church planters. I face more demands than I have time.

[image error]I posted a review of On Preaching earlier this week. Here are some of the top quotes and takeaways from this book.
Top Ten QuotesThere are three kinds of preachers: the ones you can listen to, the ones you cannot listen to, and the ones you must listen to. I desire to be the kind of preacher that you must listen to. But that requires more than desire. It requir...

On Preaching
I’ve spent the past year reading books on preaching. I’ll be honest: it’s easy to get overwhelmed. Every single book has been excellent, but every book gives more steps to take, more actions to complete. It can leave the reader exhausted rather than encouraged.
[image error]I’m glad I picked On Preaching by H.B. Charles, Jr. as the final book. Charles is an accomplished preacher, but he doesn’t write the book as an expert but as a fellow struggler. I didn’t read the book feeling chided. I read the book th...
