Why I’m Going Back To Physical Books

Four years ago, I wrote a book called “5 Reasons Why I’m A Kindle Guy Now” and in it, I detailed 5 different reasons for why I preferred electronic books over Kindle books. However, after being a Kindle book reader for 4 years, I’m feeling a longing for the old fashioned paperback and hard copy. I miss physical books. When I wrote the article a while back on why I liked Kindle books, I still stand by everything I said. Kindle books are lot more practical for lots of reasons, but I miss the feel ...

Q&A: Turning The Dollar To A Million

Hello Mr.Minton, I hope you’re well. I believe there is a quote that is featured in some of your articles that goes “we don’t need the next Million Dollar Apologist, we need a million Dollar Apologists”. So, I will be using the analogy of money for my question. In this analogy, your amount of money would equal your “level” of apologetics. Let’s say someone has already earned their dollar. They’ve read their Lee Strobel an...

Q&A: The Miraculous and The Efficacy Of Arguments

Straight to the questions. This initial group is about an atheist claim. Not a familiar one. Essentially, the atheist asks for evidence for God and the Christian then goes on to give arguments for God. The atheist then responds arguments aren’t evidence. This is principally the tag line for a channel called Deconverted Man, I haven’t watched much of his stuff but it is clear that he espouses that view from his comments on ...

Q&A: The Multiverse As An Argument For Religious Pluralism?

Thank you very much Mr.Minton for your response to my previous question. I agree apologetics is breaking through into church culture, and how this isn’t the first time Christianity has been threatened. I also agree on how counter apologetics is a bit of an unnecessary term. Finally, I am glad you are already engaged in a sort of counter counter-apologetics. I can’t wait to see how your channel and your ministry as a whole...

Q&A: Will Atheism Win Out In The End? Also, What Is Counter-Apologetics

If you are gripped for time please skip to my questions. They will be marked by a row of asterisks. * I am going to reduce to a minimum, to allow the blog post to be more readable for others. This should be my last question on Christian witnessing. However, no promises because I could always think of more.Ultimately, thank you very much for your last blog post, it was immensely beneficial for me as that was something I wa...

Q&A: Ifs and Buts and The Effectiveness Of Apologetics

Please skip my initial little rant/personal thoughts and go straight to my question at the bottom if you are pressed for time. The beginning of my question will be marked with a row of asterisks

*.Hello Mr. Minton, it was to my utmost surprise and great pleasure to see that you had responded in a mere five days. I have had actual family members not respond in five days, so it was quite the shock when I checked back into...

Q&A: Who Will Fight The Good Social Media Fight For Christ?

Hello Mr.Minton, I am Andro Rizk and I have a question for you. But a bit of background first, I am very new to your blog but from what I read you have quite the exceptional mind. I came to know your blog through some articles you wrote for CrossExamined. I am a Christian, more specifically a member of the Coptic Orthodox church of Alexandria. I am a very inquiring mind, I have heard every manner of atheist objection and ...

BOOK REVIEW: “Is God A Mysoginist?”

This is a fantastic apologetics/biblical studies book. Anyone wanting to be a serious apologist for Christianity or for those who have intellectual stumbling blocks to becoming a Christian because of seemingly objectionable passages in The Bible should have this in their library. This is a book I would recommend to those who believe Christianity degrades the value of women.

There are books out there that deal with objec...

BOOK REVIEW: “How (Not) To Read The Bible” by Dan Kimball

I read “How Not To Read The Bible” by Dan Kimball. It’s very good. It’s basically a big response to the “Evil Bible” crowd. Claims from bible verses attempting to paint God as this evil mysognist pro-slavery being who gives us a bunch of rules and regulations that make no sense is what this book is meant to respond to. I consider it to be both an apologetics book and an Old Testament biblical studies book. Before he even ...

BOOK REVIEW: “Misinterpreting Genesis” by Ben Stanhope

Ben Stanhope does an excellent job of pointing out the exegetical fallacies of Young Earth Creationism in general and of the claims of The Creation Museum in particular. Young Earth Creationists views of The Bible cannot stand up to real, actual biblical scholarship, and Stanhope does an excellent job demonstrating this.

The book is divided up by three sections. Section 1 titled “Proposed Claims of Extinct Animals in the...
