Living the Dream – Traveling as a Life Coach

Living the Dream – Traveling as a Life Coach

Living the Dream While TravelingRome, Paris, London, Berlin; been there, done that. Traveling to the world’s great cities has always been a passion of mine. In my early 20s the only way I could manage to do that was to actually live in Europe.  So, at the end of a university sponsored study trip I simply stayed in Berlin; for six years. I also married one of my teammates. Living in the center of Central Europe gave us access to many interesting and fascinating places. In fact, we...

Living the Dream on a Snow-Covered Hill

Living the Dream On a Snow-Covered Hill in ColoradoSnow is often the subject of my dreams. I often envision myself skiing, dog sledding or riding my snowmobile through fluffy white pristine snow. In my dreams snow is never cold nor is it wet. Moving to a location north of Steamboat Springs, Colorado is a dream come true. We have LOTS of snow. In fact Steamboat literally has put a trademark on the snow we get. It’s called“Champagne Powder” which is the type of snow that puffs and flies about when you touch it. The flakes are technically referr...

Living the Dream – What is a Dream?

When someone dreams about doing something; what does that mean? When Martin Luther King Jr. made his “I have a dream” speech; did he actually have dreams about that during the night?

A sleeping dream seems ethereal, surreal and often allusive. It is where our conscious and subconscious meet to play on a stage of partial reality and make-believe. You are the lead character and the plot depends on your moods and aspirations. When you dream in your sleep you can fly, you can overcome obstacles a...

Living the Dream – What is Your New Year’s Word?

What word will define 2017 for you? In past year, I have had a single word which lays out the theme for the next 12 months. Words like;systems, consolidation, ornew beginnings set the pace for the next year’s race.

Living your dream in 2017
A new year brings new opportunities. The 1st of January is a perfect time to formulate a theme that will resonate for the next 365 days. Usually one already has a sense of what will happen when the new calendar is put on the refrigerator. You will change jobs, retire, or perhaps g...

Living the Dream – Volunteering

How would you like to preach at a ski-in, ski-out church service?

This year I get to be a volunteer chaplain on the nearby ski hill. Besides the hillside church service, we also deliver donated cookies to the lift operators and pray for any needy skier. Often prayer for safety and unbroken bones tops the list. Volunteering for the Alpine Resort Ministries is, for me, living the dream.

Living the Dream by Volunteering

Not everything one does while volunteering is exactly fun. Yesterday, for example, I was making my final run...

Living the Dream From Wherever You Are

I’m Living the Dream as a Professional Certified Coach in Colorado.

23 years in Germany. 3 years in a camper in North America. 2 years and counting in the highlands of Colorado with a team of sled dogs and a world class ski area in my backyard. Many people ask me, “How can I live the dream.” Let me tell you.

Living the dream means living intentionally. Knowing where, how, and by what means you will live. Whether living in a foreign country, or in a camper full time, or in a mountain cabin; l...
