[image error]Jay Crownover did it again! She created a masterful crossover of The Saints of Denver, Welcome to the Point and The Breaking Point in Liliana Hart’s MacKenzie Family.
The little excerpt that describes the books says a lot about what to expect, even if you don’t have a clue about what it could mean. So after reading it my first though was, “So, how is this going to roll?”
Then you get to meet the characters.
This time around the heroine is Echo, a girl that we all got to meet in The Saints of Denver. She’s the one who contacted Zeb when, because of all the bad choices she made in the past, she’s unable to adopt Hide. In Avenged Echo is deep in pain after her sister dies, looking for the person that she belives is responsible for the obsession that caused her death, one of the MacKenzies. Life has other plans for her when due to her deseration she end up in a terrible car accidents that places her in Ben’s path.
“I’d always been a girl that liked herself a bad kind of boy. Part of it was because those were the kind of guys that gravitated to my lifestyle choises.”

Ben, or Benny, is the hero (or antihero) of this great story. He is the right hand man of Novk in Welcome to the Point. Let me tell you he isn’t a nice guy at all. Just as Echo he is a product of the people and places around him. Unlike her it isn’t only vices that taint his past, but violence and crime. Surprisingly, in this book he redeems himself in this book and Jay managed to make me feel empathy for a character that I once loathed. Ben is now living in a cabin in Surrender, in the middle of nowhere, under the witness protection program. There he’s found the time to think how he can change his life over, specially when he meets Echo in the middle of snow storm after she had the accident.
“Whatever you’ve had, whatever you’ve tried…none of that compares to how instantly and wholly addictive power is. All you need is a little taste, just a hint of it on your tongue, and you’re a goner.”

This is true and true a second chance story, one that I loved. The attraction between Echo and Ben is sizzling hot. Together they find a way to be perfect, not for the rest of the world, but for each other.
“I wanted to be the only wrong man she found herself in bed with, but that didn’t stop me from pulling back the covers ad sliding next to her. I told myself I would keep my hands to myself and remain on my best behavior. But like I mentioned… I was a damn good lier.”
I personally loved the different appearances of characters from Jay’s many series. Specially when the devil himself provides Ben a way to go back to Echo when they part their ways and there seems impossible for them to get back together. I was glad it had a happy ending of sorts and they foud a way to find a future togheter.
“Neither one o us would ever be the kind of people that could be described as good (I was obviously a lot closer to redemption than he was but only because he showed me the way to get there) but there was no arguing that we were great together.”

Happy Valentines!
Friendship and love should be something we cherish and value every single day. But in case we’re overwhelmed with life, there’s February 14. A day where we can make it a mission to show the people around us how much we care about them.
If you’ve read my books (and I hope you have), you know that they deal with romance, but more than that I’d like to think that they deal with friendship. The friendship of five very different girls and how life has presented love to them in singular ways.
There’s Kassandra, who has a hard time accepting love,
There’s Laura, who battled to find the love of her life,
There’s Marisol, who struggles with cultural differences,
There’s Natalie, who married a man that’s old enough to be her parent,

The Bridesmaid’s Checklist series is a new adult contemporary romance that deals with the love stories around this group of friends. Sometimes their relationship is fun, easy and uncomplicated… some others it can be the complete opposite.

I adored this book.Ms. Castle wrote a great contemporary romance (with a hint of spice/kink) … It’s about self-discovery for Kas and events that shaped her from her college days that still felt raw and unresolved … You’ve all read about the Bridezilla or even been around the Bridezilla, right? … Laura is the worst one…EVER! I can’t wait to read their stories in the future.

Kassandra is the resident planner in her group of friends. So, of course, when another one of the ladies gets engaged, Kassie is tasked with planning the wedding along with all the other events that come with it… The journey is full of twists and bumps along the way. Secrets are exposed, some even I could not have predicted. Kassie has to learn to let go of past hurts and trust her heart. The pacing was steady and there was quite a bit of humor sprinkled throughout.
In closing… A quick read with humor and a sweet romance.

The Bridesmaid’s Checklist: Laura’s Wedding
The Bridesmaid’s Checklist is a fun romantic story that has a great mixture of drama, humor, and romance, that easily kept me engaged and turning the pages. Anyone can relate to the craziness surrounding wedding event planning, and how the best laid plans can unexpectedly go awry, especially when romance issues and buried secrets are added into the mix. I really enjoyed following Kassandra’s personal journey of self discovery, especially when she makes necessary changes in her life, and finds an unexpected romance in the arms of a charmer like Josh, who is determined to break down the walls that surround Kassandra’s heart.

Kassandra is a smart, beautiful and loyal woman so when her friend calls to say she’s getting married there is only one thing to do, help.There is only one problem Kassandra knows the groom a little too well … Josh is a lover of women and enjoys trying new things. He has had a fair share of relationships and his reputation isn’t the best… There are some hot moments between Kassandra and Josh that were well written and I was glad there was an HEA. The characters whether you love or hate them are well written and engage the reader… I recommend it to a lover of contemporary romance and it’s a great start to a new series.

This was a brilliant wee book!
Sometimes being the strong, independent woman can mean that you are also the silent, lonely woman (or man!) and this book proves that point exactly. Our main character is strong and works hard to get to the point in life where she is sound and able to carry herself. However, she isn’t quite happy and is definitely feeling stranded at sea… I recommend this read, especially if you want something that has a deep side, but is very fun and easy to enjoy.

Welcome 2017
The beginning of a new year is always a time for reflection. Getting ready for how you want to spend 2017 is a must. Yeah, maybe last year wasn’t everything we wanted or expected, but it’s up to us to make this year the best possible year ever.
You might think I’m a crazy optimistic, but let’s just say I decide not to be the opposite.
This year I have a list full of challenges, all jolted down in my bullet journal (I started one yesterday, so let’s see how it goes). I want to make so many different things: love, read, write, travel, and most of all be grateful. I want to be grateful for everything I have, had had and will have, because regardless of how bad things may go I am really blessed.
So I thought of ways to make everyone around me feel that way. I want to motivate people into believing, or accepting, all the good that we have in our lives regardless of what bad could be lurking around.
The thing that came to my mind were books, ‘cause well, I love them. And it’ll be my book, ‘cause well, I’m proud of it. And I have several ways for you to get your hands on my books.

A gift to you…
The year is about to end, 2017 will start and wash away all the good, bad and ugly 2016 gave us. It was a different kind of year full, of different challenges on many different levels. I grew a lot: it was exciting, it was fullfilling and sometimes it was also painful.

became active in social media,
started my very own list of suscribers,
created a beautiful blog,
sponsored some nice giveaways (one which is still open),
made lots of new friends (which is hands down my greatest accomplishment),
and, before the year ended, I published my second book, The Bridesmaid’s Checklist: Marisol’s Wedding.
It’s certain the new year will bring new challenges and hopefully lots of satisfaction. But before the year ends I want to give you a little something that may help you start 2017 with a smile on your face.

Retreat…
I’m sure you’ve heard about the lovley Jay Crownover. She’s one of my all time favorite authors. She’s written several series such as Welcome to the Point, The Marked Men, Saints of Denver, and The Breaking Point Series… The Marked Men series is my all time favorite. Rule, the first main character of this series, is my ultimate book boyfriend. I don’t need to tell you that I’ve read them all. I recommend them to everyone I know, they’re full of hot guys, independent woman and steamy romance
