One Baby Daddy

OMG!

I just got my copy of One Baby Daddy and I can’t wait to read it. Meghan Quinn is one of the authors I truly enjoy reading, her stories are fun and oh so sexy. If you see a story by her, I would just tell you to go for it, I know you’re going to enjoy it… which is what I’m doing right now. I have my copy and soon I’ll have a review for you. In the mid time, I have a little glimpse of this great book. Enjoy!

One Baby Daddy

“What are you doing now that your team is out of the running for the Stanley Cup?”

Forget.

I need to forget. I need an escape.

Only one person isn’t falling for my reputation as the NHL’s Golden Boy; she captured my attention the minute she called me out for snooping through my best friend’s house. She didn’t want to hear my reason–she only wanted to playfully give me a hard time.

Adalyn is bold, sassy–and the perfect escape.

She’s everywhere. In town and in my dreams, and suddenly I need to spend every waking moment with her.

And I do, making this summer the best off-season I’ve ever had.

But in the midst of getting lost in Adalyn, what I don’t expect is to get her pregnant.

And what I definitely don’t expect is having to fight for her affection.

Read and excerpt here.

About the Author

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.

Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!

Unbreakable Bond

Hello,

I have another great book for you this week. This time, Goddess Fish Promotions is the one promoting this wonderful paranormal romance. Jess Bryant, the author, will be awarding a $25 Amazon or B/N GC to a randomly drawn winner via rafflecopter during the tour.

Sometimes fate gets it all wrong.

Zoey Kent has lived with that fact ever since she turned eighteen and learned that the man she loved could never be hers. He’s a born shifter, a wolf, and she’s a mere human. Fate doesn’t care if on paper they’re a perfect pair. She isn’t his fated mate and she’s resigned herself to the knowledge that someday, she’ll have to watch Michael mate with another. It’s never crossed her mind that there might be someone else out there for her, that she would be the one to mate another, to choose another over everything she’s ever known or wanted.

Sometimes fate gets it all right.

Rafe Hudson left his pack behind years ago. Physically and mentally scarred from an attack that left his parents and twin dead, he walked away from his responsibilities as Alpha. He never intended to return but lone wolf or not, he can’t leave Michael open to an attack he’s learned is coming for his only brother. What he didn’t know was that going home would mean scenting his mate, the one person in the world that could make him whole again, that could give him everything he thought he’d lost. His pack, his home and his family.

But fate always has a plan.

There’s no way Michael’s brother is her future, is there? Just like there’s no way that the girl his brother has loved since they were kids, was always meant to be his, right?

Only fate knows why they were brought together but there is one thing for sure, the sparks between Zoey and Rafe are undeniable. The bond between them is unbreakable. And together… they’ll change the face of the pack forever.

Excerpt

Zoey felt her jaw fall open. Rafe. Michael had called him Rafe again. Add in what he’d just said about the pack being his and that meant he was exactly who she’d thought he was when she got that first good look at him.

Her mind was whirling, “Michael? What’s going on? Tell me. Now. Because what my head is telling me can’t possibly be right… can it?”

Michael sighed, started to reach for her again and then must have thought better of it considering the threat hanging in the air. He swiped his hand across his jaw instead. When he met her eyes again, there was more than just concern there this time. There was also a good portion of sadness.

“Zoey, you remember my brother?”

“Rafael.” Her gaze automatically shifted back to him when Michael confirmed what she’d already put together, “Rafe.”

That flash of recognition hit her again along with something else. It had been a long time. She’d barely been a teenager the last time she saw him. He’d taken off after the accident that took his parents life and the life of his twin brother, the same accident that had made Michael Alpha of the pack.

It was the something else that distracted her though, the thing that definitely hadn’t been there when she’d known him before. The instant attraction to him was new. So was the urge to move towards him, to let him protect her, the belief that he was the one offering safety, comfort and home. None of that had been there when she’d known him before… before she’d turned eighteen, she realized.

Her head was still trying to figure out what that meant, how that was possible, when Michael’s next words confirmed what her heart had been trying to tell her all day.

This was the important part. The impossible part. The part she never could have seen coming because it changed everything.

“He thinks you’re his mate.”

Another One

Hello, everyone!!

I’m super excited about the release of Another One. I’ve been reading Aleatha’s series, “Lighter Ones” … I really enjoyed Plus One, that you can get for only 99 cents (a total steal), and A Secret One is the perfect into to Another One, and you can get it totally FREE. Another One is a book I know we all will love.

Get ready to laugh out loud, swoon, and fall in love with this new, fun, and sexy stand-alone novel from New York Times bestselling author Aleatha Romig. Demonstrating her versatility in writing, Aleatha revisits her lighter side that you loved in PLUS ONE.

A complete stand-alone, ANOTHER ONE is the next big summer hit.

*Shana*

Trevor Willis is sexy, sweet, and oh so fun. He’s also my best friend’s brother-in-law. That should mean he’s off-limits, or that I should be off-limits to him.

Someone probably should have told us that before my best friend married his brother, before the morning of the wedding when we woke in each other’s arms with gaping holes in my memory.

They didn’t.

We did.

The hilarious truth behind our crazy, secret adventure secured this handsome, off-limits man in my heart. But alas, life goes on. After our one secret night, we went back to our lives—our hardworking, solitary lives.

And then it happened.

My phone began to buzz. Each night with thousands of miles between us, we laughed, talked, and shared. And then, the phone stopped ringing.

Before it did, I knew one thing…

Our secret one had bloomed and blossomed, and now that our circumstances have changed I want another one!

*Trevor*

Shana Price is that one woman. You know, the one who suddenly makes the world more than a place to work, but also a place to live. Usually shy and awkward, in her presence I want to be more—I am more. I don’t even have to try.

She’s my one. I knew it the moment I first met her. What followed simply confirmed it.

The problem is the little hassle of the thousands of miles between us.

I tried to make it work, but each phone call made it harder. (Yes, that is a pun) I couldn’t take it any more—and she became the one who got away.

Now, everything has changed.

Shana is back in the United States—all I have to do is make her see that her job isn’t the only reason to stay.

That shouldn’t be a problem, right?

From a secret one to another one!

Try Aleatha’s lighter side for a guaranteed smile—the perfect getaway.

Have you been Aleatha’d?

Excerpt

Trevor~

Sweet and tangy.

Shana Price tastes like sugar with a twist of lemon.

My mind tells me to go slow, reminding me that I don’t have any right to this beautiful woman. My mind is saying to stop, yet her soft moan is all I hear.

My body has its own GPS with the destination close. Listening to my mind is out of the question.

Her petite body shivers as I tease her sweet lips. They willingly part as my tongue delves inside, wrestling with hers.

Not giving up its fight, my thoughts remind me how forward this behavior is and how it isn’t like me. Trevor Willis is not a man who chases a woman down, pins her against the wall, and kisses her until neither of us can breathe or cares.

It’s not me.

But, it should be.

I like it.

I won’t blame the alcohol. I’ll blame my need to know it’s really Shana and to claim her for my own. I didn’t do it last time, and I’ve regretted it every day since.

When her hands come to my chest, I seize them, lifting them above her head and pinning them to the wall. Shana doesn’t fight; instead, her hips move against mine and our kiss grows more passionate. In the dark, crowded hallway, with my body pressed against hers, I swallow the soft moans coming from her throat.

At that moment, I want to be anywhere but a crowded bar in the middle of Manhattan. I no longer care about Eric’s bachelor party or my friends. I don’t even care about Kimbra back out in the bar. All I want is to whisk Shana away and do what we didn’t do before, what her body and mine are ready and aching to do.

One Baby Daddy

Hello, again!

Are there any sport fans in the house? Well, I have the perfect book for you. But even if you’re not a football fan, I know you’ll enjoy the book I have for you today. It’s by beautiful Meghan Quinn and OMG, I’m sure you’re going to love it.

Enjoy the excerpt below:

“What are you doing now that your team is out of the running for the Stanley Cup?”

Forget.

I need to forget. I need an escape.

Only one person isn’t falling for my reputation as the NHL’s Golden Boy; she captured my attention the minute she called me out for snooping through my best friend’s house. She didn’t want to hear my reason–she only wanted to playfully give me a hard time.

Adalyn is bold, sassy–and the perfect escape.

Excerpt

Tentative at first, we explore, our lips light, our mouths not quite nipping, but not fusing together either.

We probe, we search, we delve into each other.

Her hands to my face.

My fingers tangling in her wavy brown curls.

Mouths open.

A gasp.

A moan.

A tightened grip.

The lightest touch of tongues.

Scooting closer, she wraps her legs around the back of mine, linking them together.

Tangling, molding, becoming one, the sweet taste of her mouth on mine . . . I’m lost.

Falling and falling fast, our kiss so deep, so intense with each thrust of our tongues, with each mingling of our lips, with every intake of desperate breath.

Tender, the way she moves her lips across mine.

Shaky, the way her hands tentatively explore the crevasses and divots of my broad and built chest.

Fearful . . . of the unknown, of what this means.

But so goddamn electrifying because the craving I’ve harbored for this woman is finally being sated.

Eyes closed, hands lingering, I slowly pull away and rest my forehead on Adalyn’s trying to catch my breath, taking a second to steady the jittery, wobbly feeling in my legs.

“Wow,” I mumble. “That was—”

“Unforgettable,” she finishes for me, her nose rubbing against mine.

Exhaling, I say, “Yeah, it was.”

My hands venture to her sides, memorizing every contour of her body in their path. “Where’s your bedroom?”

Her eyes light up and she hops down from the counter, taking my hand in hers in the process. “This way.” She practically skips down the hallway, light and giddy.

The dark hallway leads to another white, clean, and crisp bedroom. Smooth lines, monotone colors of whites and creams, with one light blue throw pillow on her plush white bed that looks like a cloud floating in the middle of heaven.

Angling in my direction, she reaches for the hem of her dress, but I stop her, gripping her shoulders and standing her upright. Confusion laces her eyes and I take no time in easing that confusion.

“I want to take this slow, Adalyn.” I let out an unsteady breath. “That kiss back there, fuck . . .” I press a hand through my hair. “That rocked my goddamn world.”

Shyly, she peeks up at me through her eyelashes. “It rocked my world too.”

Unable to keep my hands off her for too long, I tip her chin up and press my lips against hers, my mouth smoothing along hers, lush and delicious, just as I expected. She sighs into me, holding on to my waist. I press my tongue against hers again, loving how she gives as much as I take.

Slowing down, my lips brush hers, the fiery passion we have for each other simmering like a pot ready to boil, but never getting hot enough.

I don’t want it to get too hot. Not right now.

I need to know more about her. I want more time with her. I don’t want to jump into this—into a physical relationship—when I know there is so much more I can share with this woman.

There is time for this connection to go beyond the physical, but for now, I need to not get wrapped up in the sensation of her being so close to me and rather seduce her mind instead. I. Want. Her. I want what Calder and Rachel have. I want the depth of trust and friendship I’ve seen in my parents’ marriage . . . How is that possible so soon? God, I want inside her, but I think I need inside her heart more than in her body.

Yes, I’m certifiable.

Completely.

“Can we agree on something?”

“Depends on what it is.” Her fingers trace up and down my spine.

Tracing her pattern, matching it with my fingers, I say, “Can we both acknowledge this unimaginable pull between us? Can we admit to ourselves that the physical is there, that we both would have no problem taking this relationship to the bed?”

“Easily,” she breathes out heavily, her fingers playing with the hem of my shirt.

“Can we also agree to wait?”

Sighing heavily, she rests her head against my chest, knocking it a few times with her forehead. “You’re killing me, Hayden.”

“I know but there have been too many times where the physical has taken the lead in developing a relationship and the communication has lacked. I don’t want that with you.”

“I can understand that.” She bites her bottom lip, her thoughts running a mile a minute in that pretty head of hers. “But what about . . . you know . . . when you have to leave, go back to Philly?”

I nod. “This is for then. So when I do go back, we’ll be okay. Because I can see a future with you, Adalyn, and that’s why I want to build something solid with you, something that can last. I want that chance. With you.”

“So when you return to Philly, you want to stay in contact with me?”

“Fuck yes, I do. And I’m going to have you sitting front and center at as many games as you can get to, especially since I’m trying to make hockey your favorite sport.”

“I don’t know.” She smiles. “That’s going to be one hell of a task to accomplish. Think you can handle it?”

“I know I can.” I press a quick kiss against her lips and then slap her ass, making her squeal. With a wink, I say, “Go get changed for bed, we have some making out to do.”

“Making out?” she asks, adding in a lift of that well-defined eyebrow of hers.

Acting stern and pointing my finger at her, I say, “Just making out. If you start with your wandering hands, I’m going to jet out of here, taking my body warmth with me.”

“That’s just cruel.”

“Then keep it in your pants, Adalyn.” Smiling wickedly, I go to the living room to grab my overnight bag, reprimanding myself with the same warning.

Keep it in your pants, Holmes.

For the love of God, keep it in your pants.

The Dating Experiment, My Review

1. Get over my best friend’s brother.

2. Remember that I’m over him.

3. Prove I can date other people.

It should be easy.

It’s not.

Setting up a dating website with the guy I’ve been in love with since I was five wasn’t my smartest idea.

Especially since he’s my best friend’s brother—thankfully, she’s okay with the fact I’m pulling a Sandy and I’m hopelessly devoted to him.

Which is why it’s time to get over him.

So I do something crazy and ask Dominic Austin to find me a date. He does—if I find him one, too.

Since we own Stupid Cupid, it should be easy, right? And it is.

My date is perfect. His date is perfect. Everything is perfect.

Until he kisses me…

Three dates.

One kiss.

And a big-ass mess…

My Review

This book had a kaleidoscope of things that I like: in love with your best friend’s brother and enemies to lovers. So I wanted to read it. Specially because the first book of this series, The Hook-Up Experiment, left me wanting for more. Here’s my review:

Not only was it pathetic, but I could literally hear my ovaries counting down.

Chloe is a woman on a mission. She’s tired of being single, and whats even worse, in love with her best friend’s brother. But she can’t help it, she’s been in love with Dom for what feels like forever. She decides she’s going to get over him. Which is a little difficult, since they work together in Stupid Cupid, a matching website.

How was I supposed to match people when my own life was a hot mess? I mean, holy shit. I’d spent five years matching other people, while I’d been in love with my co-worker and brother’s best friend the entire time.

With the support of her friends, and in a heated outburst, she demands that Dom, the man she’s in love with and her best friend’s brother, to set her up with her perfect match. But she’s unaware of the twist she’s about to find.

“You lose everything, you’re careless, and you’re so insensitive to everybody around you. You’d need a fucking saint to put up with you.”

“You need more than a saint, Chloe. You need a damn God.”

“So find him.”

Dom knows exactly how Chloe is feeling, since he’s in love with her sister’s best friend too. Regardless how close they lived to each other since they were young, they’re unaware of their true feelings. So when Chloe asks him to pair her up with a date, she didn’t expect to be asked the same.

“I’m going to set him up with someone. And she’s going to be insufferable as he is. She’ll be perfect for him. She’ll be super organized and patient and able to handle all his bullshit. I’ll set him up with someone so incredibly meant for him that not even I’ll be able to look at them and feel like he’s with the wrong person.” I turned, taking a deep breath. ” And then I’ll be able to get over him. Right? That’s how it works. He’ll be happy with whoever I match him with, and I can move on.”

I was impressed when both Chloe and Dom decided to match each other with a perfect date. My initial thought was that thew would find a way to set them up with the opposite. But they really want the other to find true love, or as close as true love as they can get. What they thought they knew but they totally didn’t, is how they would feel when they see the other happy with their dates. Until Dom’s date doesn’t work, and Chloe encourages him to tell whoever he likes how he feels.

“Just let her know how you feel. It’s not a big deal.”

“It is to me. All right'”

“Dom, your job is literally matching people up. If she’s the person you think you should be with, why don’t you just say it?”

What would happen at the end? You might know how the story goes… but you don’t know how it gets to it’s HEA. Read The Dating Experiment by Emma Hart. You won’t regret it.

Bro Code

From New York Times bestselling author Kendall Ryan comes a flirty new standalone about falling for your older brother’s best friend.

There’s pretty much only one rule when you’re a guy.

Don’t be a douche.

Turns out, the fastest way to break that rule is to fall for your best friend’s sister.

Ava’s brilliant, sharp-tongued, gorgeous, and five years younger than me.

She’s the sexual equivalent of running with scissors. In a word, she’s dangerous. And completely off-limits.

Falling for her could ruin everything.

Yet I can’t seem to stop, even when her company is threatened by a lawsuit, and my promotion hinges on representing the opposing client—and winning.

I can’t see a way out of this mess that doesn’t end in a broken friendship, a broken heart, or a ruined career.

I may have broken the bro code when I fell for Ava. But do I have the balls to handle what comes next?

Blood Type, My Review

A startling new vision of paranormal romance: When a human ventures into the world of vampires—a decadent milieu of blood-bonds and betrayal—she discovers that not all is what it seems.

For Reyna Carpenter, giving up her body isn’t a choice. It’s survival.

In a civilization laid waste by poverty and desperation, Reyna accepts a high-paying position with the wealthy and hungry vampire elite. Her new job is as the live-in blood escort for the intimidating, demanding, and devilishly handsome Beckham Anderson. He’s everything she expected from a vampire, except for one thing—he won’t feed off her.

Reyna soon discovers that behind Beckham’s brooding, wicked façade lies a unique and complex man. And that, in a dark and divided world, she is more valuable than she ever would have believed.

For with each passing night, Reyna can’t shake the sensation that it’s Beckham who’s afraid of her.

Note: Reyna and Beckham’s story continues in Blood Match.

Excerpt

That was the moment Beckham appeared in the doorway like a storm cloud.

Reyna straightened in her seat at the expression on his face. He walked across the room like a tightly coiled spring ready to explode.

“Ah Beckham, there you are,” Harrington said.

“Excuse me, William. I need to speak with Reyna. Alone.”

She hastened out of her seat and followed him around the corner. He tugged her straight through the kitchens, out the back door, down a corridor, and into a dead end. Then her back was slammed against the brick wall. His fist connected with the wall behind her, and she felt the wall shudder. Debris floated onto her shoulders.

“You left,” he growled.

“I . . .”

“No.” He pressed his finger to her lips roughly. She stopped breathing and just stared up into his eyes as dark as night. Her body trembled under the feral stare. “You left without me.”

The silence was weighted. All she could do was sit with their bodies nearly touching. His finger on her mouth. Her mind wandering to hellacious places.

“You are my subject. Can you imagine what it was like when I found you missing? When you turned up with three of my kind?” She shook her head minutely. He bared his teeth to her, and she shrank back. “These are meant to drink your blood. To drink you dry until there is nothing left of your body but a dry corpse. We are killers. We don’t hesitate. Just because we’re wearing suits and seem more like you . . . does not mean we are like you. We are not like you. They especially are not like you. The only way you get to the top of Visage is to be fucking ruthless, Reyna. Do you understand?”

“You’re . . . scaring me,” she whispered.

“Good.”

My Review

The synopsis of the book caught my eye. And once a paranormal romance (specially vampire romance) fan, I decided to go back to my roots and see what K.A. Linde could create in this genre. I have to say that I’m really glad I followed my heart.

At this point, the only choice was between Visage and dying of starvation.

Reyna Carpenter is a girl pushed to do the unthinkable, offer her blood to the Visage (a company dedicated to feed Vampires by employing humans). Knowing everyone would disapprove of her decision, she leaves her home without telling her brothers; only to be offered a permanent position with the vice-president of the company. She is courageous and has noble intentions, but she doesn’t know at all what awaits for her after she signs the contract.

Reyna stared at the figure before her, and he simply stared back. All times she had thought about coming to Visage and becoming a blood escort, she had never truly known what to expect. She had never considered the vampire that she would have to live with. This man made her want to run as fast and as far away from his as possible.

Beckham Anderson is a complete mystery. An important vampire who seems only to be concentrated in work, not bothering to know Reyna or even feed from her. He keeps to himself and provides her of everything she might need and more, managing to constantly overwhelm her and making her run.

“Technically, it kicks your adrenaline into overdrive. Like a flight-or-fight response. So endorphins flood your system to try to counteract it. Kind of like sex,” she said with a wink.

The story is constantly twisting and changing, first letting us know about the current situation of the world the characters live and giving us an ample understanding behind Reyna’s decision to join Visage. Little after the book starts, Reyna feels attracted and frustrated towards Beckham, but there’s so much going on that they can’t seem to find a way to get together until the very end.

“Do you know what the rarest blood type is?”

Reyna cleared her throat, “No.”

“Rh null negative. It means that the individual is missing the entire Rh antigen group from the blood. No A, B or O to worry about. A true universal donor. So few that only three others have known to have the blood since I’ve been searching.”

This is an exiting story that keeps you turning the pages. One thing happens right after the other, and when you think everything is going to settle… there it goes again. The argument between humans and vampires is different and refreshing for me, while it preserves the bases anyone would expect in a paranormal story. The story between the characters, on the other hand, seems to develop as they know each other and start trusting one another, surrendering to what they feel and are. But, the romance between them isn’t that visible since this is only the first of three books that will tell us how Reyna’s story end.

“Whoever that girl was before she came here, no one sees her anymore.”

Can’t wait to read the rest of the series! [image error]
