SQUEAKY CLEAN paperback out now! Waterstones Scottish Book of the Month

As of the New Year the paperback of Squeaky Clean is out, featuring a gorgeous variant cover by Kid-ethic — red is the new green!

EVENT: Newcastle Noir, Friday 8th December, 6pm @ Newcastle City Library

Looking forward to Newcastle Noir this weekend!
The Bloody Scotland Debut shortlisters will be getting the band back together for a panel at Newcastle City Library on Friday 8th December at 6pm. The fantastic Emma Christie will be speaking to Fulton Ross, Heather Critchlow, award-winner Kate Foster and myself about all things bloody, Scottish, and debut.
Other events across the weekend include brilliant authors such as Ann Cleeves, Doug Johnstone, D V Bishop, Eve Smith and many more.

SQUEAKY CLEAN shortlisted for Crime Fiction Lover Award
Woke up to some incredible news this morning: Squeaky Clean has made the shortlist for Crime Fiction Lover’s Best Debut Crime Novel of 2023 Award!
It’s an absolute honour to be listed alongside some fantastic books and authors, including fellow debuts Iris Yamashita, KJ Dando, Joanna Wallace, IS Berry, and Rob Rinder (!!).

The Glencairn Glass Crime Short Story Competition
I’m honoured to have been asked to judge the Glencairn Glass Crime Short Story Competition this year!
Along with the amazing Kate Foster and Gordon Brown (AKA Morgan Cry), I’ll be helping decide who takes home the £1000 prize, to be announced at Bloody Scotland 2024 in Stirling next year, and I cannot wait to get reading!

EVENT: Cumbernauld Theatre 13/11/23 @ 7pm
I’m thrilled to be appearing at Cumbernauld Theatre as part of North Lanarkshire Libraries’ Book Week Scotland events.
I’ll be doing a bit of reading and chatting all things crime and car washing in the theatre café.
The event is free but ticketed (you can book here) as well as find out about the other great events going on that week, including talks with Alan Parks, Alex Grey, Louise Welsh, Ambrose Parry, Doug Johnstone and more. It’s an incredible line up!
