#1lineWed from 2 perspectives!
Hi all!
For today’s #1linewed I decided to chose a line from two different point’s of view. In Echo, I alternate perspectives with each chapter so I can give the reader the full story! Chapters from Mitch’s perspective are definitely darker than Addison’s point of view, and I thought these two lines really showed that difference.
Hopefully I’ll have a post up soon about changing perspectives in novels!
The theme for today was “open”.

My top 20 titles
Hi all!
Hope you are having a lovely, relaxing Sunday!
I’ve been thinking a lot about titles lately (you’ll see why at the end of this post), so I thought I’d share with you guys my favorite book titles!
These aren’t in any particular order; they are just titles that I’ve thought were really interesting or that I felt fit the novel really well. For some, I have reasons for liking the title, but for others, I just really like them.

Winter Reads: The Heir
Book: The Heir
Series: The Selection Series (#4)
Author: Kiera Cass
My Goodreads Rating: 4 stars
[image error]Instagram: @nadetterae
Synopsis (via Goodreads):
Princess Eadlyn has grown up hearing endless stories about how her mother and father met. Twenty years ago, America Singer entered the Selection and won the heart of Prince Maxon—and they lived happily ever after. Eadlyn has always found their fairy-tale story romantic, but she has no interest in trying to repeat it. If it were up to her, she’d put off marriage for as long as possible.
But a princess’s life is never entirely her own, and Eadlyn can’t escape her very own Selection—no matter how fervently she protests.
Eadlyn doesn’t expect her story to end in romance. But as the competition begins, one entry may just capture Eadlyn’s heart, showing her all the possibilities that lie in front of her . . . and proving that finding her own happily ever after isn’t as impossible as she’s always thought.

*spoiler alert: this review does have some spoilers, but they are towards the end, so I will let you know at that point in case you haven’t read this book yet.*
First of all, I love Kiera Cass as a writer! Her style is so unique, and with each of her books I find myself totally wrapped up in world of the Selection.
I am really glad she decided to continue the series. I simply needed more Maxon & America in my life! I was so excited when I saw the next two books would be about their daughter. What a great way to keep their story going but still make it into something new!
That being said, I’m not a huge fan of Princess Eadlyn. I’ve read mixed reviewed on the Selection series: some readers love America but hate Eadlyn and vice versa. I have to say, I am more on the America side of things. I just loved her as a character. I really enjoyed the first three books and honestly felt a bit more vested in America’s character and story than I do with Eadlyn.
However, I must say Eadlyn and her brothers all seem to have little bits and pieces of both America and Maxon. Eadlyn has her mother’s stubbornness, but she seemed to think like her father.
Okay, now for the boys!
So this was the great part about this Selection being for Princess Eadlyn rather than having the story be about her twin brother Ahren. The Selected are all guys to fall in love with over the course of the book! ❤ There are literally 35 adorable guys vying for this girl’s heart.
My favorite of the Selected so far? Sir Kile, Sir Henri, and Sir Hale. I also like Erik as a character for Eadlyn.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It isn’t my top book of the series (The One still holds that position), but it did make me smile, and I am excited to see what happens next. I would definitely recommend this to all Selection series fans, as well as, those of you who were maybe on the not-team-America side of things, because you may end up loving/relating to Eadlyn better.
**Spoiler alert: this next portion contains spoilers!**
Okay, can we talk about Kile Woodwork for just a sec? I mean, the fact that he is a Woodwork is just perfect right there. Great way to tie story lines back together. Also, I kind of love the fact that they never really saw each other in a romantic way until the Selection-and that first kiss!- forced them to. Basically, I’m a big fan of Sir Kile so far.
Alright, Henri. Henri just seems like the world’s sweetest guy- not to mention he’s a pastry chef. LOL. The communication could be a struggle for them, but honestly, it is something they could work on together. I really loved all the little scenes with Henri, so I hope to see more of him with Eadlyn in the next book.
Hale. Hale’s got swag. He’s the charming guy in the group and I love it! He’s got that whole I’m-here-to-impress-you-every-day thing going on and I just think he sounds cute.
Erik. Now, I realize he isn’t exactly one of the Selected. BUT no one can deny there’s something there between him and the princess. He’s always there for her and is such a good person at heart. I hope he sticks around in the next book too!
In general, I hope Eadlyn lets love in a little more in the next book. I’m really curious to see how each storyline pans out in The Crown.
Happy Reading!

Oh. My. Gosh. So. Good.
This book had everything I loved about the first three, plus the fact that it was told from so many different angles.
I was so happy for every single character. It really felt like they all found their own “happily ever after.” Some plot lines I had been expecting, and some really surprised me-in the best way.
I really enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it!
I would say to read it after reading the first three novels, though.
I thought it was so cool that Cass wrote these novellas and short stories from each character’s point of view. And I really appreciated that she put them all into this one lovely book. It was neat as the reader to get to see a little bit more of some of the other character’s thoughts and lives.
Oh, and I loved all the illustrations in it! They were so good and added to the cuteness of the whole thing! So pretty

My favorite character’s voice: MAXON. Hands down. I loved getting to see his thoughts. I just love him as a character so so much.
My favorite happy ending: Marlee and Carter Woodwork. Their love is so strong and true.
My favorite surprise happy ending: Aspen and Lucy. I was so happy to see those two together!
The novella that surprised me the most: Queen Amberly’s story and her time in the Selection.
Have you read this book yet? What were your thoughts? Let me know
Happy Reading!

Top Ten Tuesday: My Favorite Love Stories & Valentine’s Day Surprise
[image error]
Happy Valentines Day! ❤
Whether you’re celebrating today with a significant other or celebrating “National Single’s Awareness Day” by hanging with friends and family, I hope you have a wonderful day full of love and happiness.
We all turn to books as a sort of escape from reality, another world to dive into for a couple hours. Romance novels are a way to feel like a teenager again, experiencing that first love all over again, or for some, wondering if you’ll feel like the main character does when you fall.
Some of you may read romantic books and it makes you think of your person. But others, may read those sappy love stories as a sense of hope that those types of guys are out there waiting for you and you then start referring to the guy in the book as your “book boyfriend”. LOL
Either way, if you’re like me (a hopeless romantic at heart) you live for those sappy stories that make you swoon and wish on a star your perfect guy will be exactly like (*insert current book boyfriend’s name here*).
So today, being Heart Day, I thought I’d rank my favorite love stories in books I’ve read recently! (This was actually pretty hard to pick them!)
* * *
10. Sydney and Mac from Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen

9. Anna and Will from Sixteenth Summer by Michelle Dalton
8. Cassia and Ky from The Matched Trilogy by Ally Condie
7. Samantha and Jase Garret from My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick

6. Ronnie and Will from The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks
5. Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus Waters from The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
4. Cammie Morgan and Zachary Goode from The Gallagher Girls Series by Ally Carter
3. Axi Moore and Robinson from First Love by James Patterson
2. America Singer and Maxon Shreave from The Selection Series (specifically The One) by Kiera Cass

1. Ira and Ruth Levinson from The Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks

I tried to blend aspects of each of these character’s relationships into the love story of Addison and Zach in my book, Illusion. My goal was to write a story with a romance that makes you think “I want a guy like Zach!” and feel everything Addison is feeling.
[image error]from Illusion (Book One of the Illusion Trilogy)
I wanted the instant “fireworks” romance I’m always reading about. I wanted that *dreamy*, head-over heels vibe, while also having something more, something deeper to them.
So because it’s Valentine’s Day, I have a surprise for all my blog readers:
Today only! Click here to download Illusion absolutely free to your Kindle (or kindle app on any smartphone) and read a love story like no other, where the girl literally gets the guy of her dreams!

I hope your day is full of the love you love to read about!
Much love to my lovely readers!

P.S. I want to hear your thoughts! Who is your favorite book couple? Have you read Illusion yet? What did you think of Addison & Zach?
