Jonathan Chase was born in Washington, D.C., but now resides in Carlisle, Massachusetts. He is the son of a former Foreign Service Officer and elementary school teacher.

Chase graduated from Hackley School in Tarrytown, New York and The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

After decades in the travel, telecommunications and retail industries, Chase retired to devote himself full time to his creative writing endeavors, including his blog: The Embassy of Peace.

A lover of sacred music, Chase often attended the Duke Vespers Ensemble's weekly service and choral evensong during the academic year, either in person or online. He also regularly listens to the webcasts from the Choir of King's College in Cambridge and The Saint Thomas

I think writers block, is a self-imposed check that what your writing should naturally flow towards a different direction than you have already determined. Think about what route makes the most sense without being too predictable. Built in surprises make discovery for the reader a joy to behold.(less)

Jonathan Chase Jonathan Chase's debut novel will be published this month.

Stay tuned for Sgt. Daniel Davis, an 1880s police officer from a provincial New York town, who finds himself on a path to a reconning with a past indiscretion after meeting a transient, entrepreneurial woman.

While on this new path, Davis wonders whether he and his relatives will remain pillars of society when other unexpected, subsequent truths are revealed. And, whether all these new truths will harm his own integrity which he has spent so many years to establish among his colleagues and friends.

Finally, will these new truths now jeopardize his sense of self worth in his own eyes and those of his maker?
