BUSY!

I'm not really here :) … I'm behind closed internet doors, hard at work editing Sheik Omair Al Arif's story–the  assassin prince of Al Na'JAr– and the next installment in my SAHARA KINGS series. I hope you're all going to love this dark desert warrior hero as much as I do.

But if you need a Sahara fix in the interim–watch this space. I'll have copies of DESERT KNIGHTS to give away soon, an anthology I wrote with Linda Conrad. And in my novella, SHEIK'S CAPTIVE, there's a link to the mystery surrounding the SAHARA KINGS …

Stay tuned!!

HUDSON's FIRST BEAR

They're baaack, out and munching about. So far the Beswetherick clan has sighted four bruins this season. Hudson zero, until today …. I was nervous about how he might react. Didn't want him bringing the bruin charging back at me in all his puppy excitement at things new.

And then today, as we were out doing a retrieve session on the lower soccer fields at Myrtle Philip school, first the frisbee, then the bumper … he got wind of something wild …

Oops, in my excitement trying to photograph the bruin, control puppy, and not drop all the gear, frisbee got in the way, and bear dipped out of sight…

Hmmm … maybe this is why the Mounties were mounted, er, parked outside the park. School kidlets were due out, and due care is taken when there is a bear on school grounds.

THE FIRST REVIEW IS IN – 4.5 stars from RT

From Romantic Times Magazine :-

"THE SHEIK'S COMMAND (4.5) by Loreth Anne White: Nikki Hunt flees across the Sahara with a group of ill war orphans after rebels murder the nuns and priests at the mission. Dressed as a nomad, Nikki strays into Sheik Zakir Al Arif's kingdom, which is in turmoil. She needs Zakir's help to save the children. He agrees to help Nikki if her story checks out. But Nikki has a past — she fled a marriage to a powerful man who will be ruthless in taking her back if he learns she's alive. Zakir is attracted to Nikki, enough to consider marrying her, but traitors in his midst work to make Zakir believe Nikki is a spy. Action, adventure and a heart-pounding conclusion make this highly romantic story a winner.
