What You Need to Know Before 2021

COVID-19 has impacted us all, but sometimes in unexpected ways.
My client Joe, by most standards, is a successful guy, but despite his efforts, education, and incredible levels of discipline, the pandemic was starting to take a toll on his confidence.
Like many of us, he grew up feeding off the notion that going to school a...

The Hero’s Journey Part I
Here are the first 5 steps of the “Hero's Journey Course” that I’ve been teaching on my online course, to the members of Tribe 215.
Read it, print it and keep it close because if you do it right, it will work just like a GPS and a map does. It can not only help you locate where you are in your life’s journey(GPS), but it can also show you where to go next (Map), as well as how to get there (Map & GPS).
As you read, you’ll likely notice that you are on multiple “Hero Journeys’”. You’ll see the jour...

I’m Going to Test You for Superhuman
Last week we talked about the fact there are Superhumans Among Us. They’re the people out there globally elevating personal and professional standards in ways that will continue to rob us of the very time, money, energy and creativity, that we all require to both discover as well as live out our purpose on this planet so that we can lead others to do the same.
I offered up a solution to this, which was to join the ranks of these superhuman performers, but I also acknowledged that most people don’...

Superhumans Among Us
So over the years I’ve noticed how easy it is for people to dismiss the term “Superhuman”. They seem to think it’s either a marketing slogan, an exaggeration or a term reserved for elite groups like professional athletes or Navy SEALs.
And sure. When we think of “Superhuman” feats it’s the people doing the quadruple backflips on dirt bikes, and jumping out of planes without parachutes that we think of. But those are just the ones that are sensationalized. And honestly, they’re not the most impor...

What Happened To Me
I was miserable. Despite the fact that I spent over a decade training and working with the most highly trained special operators in the world, I had allowed myself to conform to the overworked, under-fit and uninspired American corporate culture that I had honestly thought I was immune to. That was my first mistake.
I felt like I was in a constant state of having more things to do than I had time or energy for. I was always rushing, getting very li...
What is Happening to us
Did you ever feel that you’re getting nowhere closer to your goal of living a good life of passion and purpose? Or that you’re drifting further away from that life? I’m not surprised. I know I found myself in that situation and statistically speaking, you probably are too, and here’s why.
In our TWENTIES:We all enter the workforce with virtually the same levels of education. We don’t have a lot of responsibilities, and our revenue requirements are lower than our earning potential, leaving us with...

COVID-19 And Pull ups in Afghanistan (3 Minute Read)

It was 3 p.m. in Afghanistan, and I was out for my afternoon run. Sure, I had an automatic weapon in my hand because I was in a war zone, but despite that reality I was not only consistent with my daily training regime, I was actually increasing it. Why?
Because it was my job to bring power to the powerless, and thats simply unsustainable if I allowed the difficult environment I was in to deplete me by way of recoiling and attempting conservation.

Bloody Toes and Brotherhood

I was stumbling and losing bits of consciousness on my way back to camp, my SEAL instructors thought it either wise or funny (they’re sadistic like that) to immediately send me back out to retest me on the land navigation course I just failed.
Saturated by melted snow, seething with pain and disoriented by way of exhaustion induced confusion I did what they had trained me to do. I dropped 3 bags of M&Ms into my belly, chased them down with a canteen of water and shuffled my sorry ass back...

Real Resolutions That Stick: Importance
There are six pieces to the performance formula that I’ve been using since I was a sniper instructor to turn out high levels of performance; but, it wasn’t until I read the responses to the three questions I sent out to those on our mailing that realized the true importance of importance.
To understand this is… well, important, because if you’re after big things in life, this “Gatekeeper” element of the formula will make or break your ability to set and achieve...
