Thank you Steve
Thank you Steve for your kind words and I’m thrilled you enjoyed Eversong.
Oh my God Ady!
Just finished it.
When is the next one coming out?
And, how can you follow that?
My favourite book is Lord of The Rings. I read it as a child and will never find anything that even comes close. I’ve avoided so much fantasy fiction (except Doctor Who) and won’t even watch Game of Thrones as they are all just pale imitations. This though, kept me reading and took me on the journey completely. It has the alternate reality of David Mitchell, the childlike horror of Neil Gaiman and the sheer fantasy of the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant all wrapped up. I’d like to see some of the characters padded out in the next few books to give the depth that Elena has, but it’s a fantastic, gripping read. Kept me glued to my kindle for a few weeks. Now it has become a world I can’t just abandon, so we need the next part. From Gloucester Docks to a parallel universe, it takes you all of the way.
Tonight I will hopefully finish chapter 23 – it was a dramatic and exciting piece to write. Only two more chapters to go and I will have finished the first draft of Shadojak.
Thanks guys

Riveting
Just finished reading this fantastic book and I’m so glad I did. It had me riveted from the first few lines. I’m really looking forward to reading the next book in the trilogy. I definitely recommend this book to anybody who likes to read something a bit different from the norm. Well worth it. 5/5 from me.
I’m thrill to now have 8, 5 star reviews on kindle.
Thank you and book two, Shadojak, will be out soon.

Chapter 23 of Shadojak
I started chapter 23 today and it’s going well. Currently I am having fun with a grumpkin who’s face has begun to come undone – not a pretty sight, but then again, grumpkins are an ugly business.
I’ve officially become a Goodreads author so if you have any questions feel free to post them in the ask an author link or write a comment on my blog.
Right, back to writing – I’ve left the poor grumpkin in pain…. I started chapter 23 today and it’s going well. Currently I am having fun with a grumpkin who’s face has begun to come undone – not a pretty sight, but then again, grumpkins are an ugly business.

Good reads
Wow!
Only just discovered a great review of Eversong on the webite, Good reads. Luckily it was a good 1.
Mind blowingly spectacular
‘This book had me hooked from the moment I started it. It is fantastic and has had me glued from the first page. I cannot wait for the second instalment and urge people to read it. Two very big thumbs up.’
A big thank you to Gareth Ponsford for the great review

Reviews
It has become apparent that a lot of people having read Eversong have submitted a review which hasn’t made it onto Kindle – AAAAAAAGH!
Jane has looked into this and it seems that Kindle are knuckling down on authors who have been trading reviews with other authors so they can gain a lot of 5 stars reviews.
So leaving a review after the end pages on your kindle or tablet doesn’t work, even though they have sent you a message stating that they have received your submitted review.
To that end, the only way you can leave a review is if you login to Amazon, click on your account and select ‘your orders’. From here you can scroll down until you reach Eversong, or any other book, and leave a review.
I hope this helps

Free Story (Crowd Sourced Project): Exploits of a Midnight Traveler
Starting today, I’ll be trying out something new. Since I have no platform and am trying to submit traditionally, I figure there is no better way in showing how I write than to type a part of…

Getting to grips
Hiya guys
I’m sorry for not writing much in the last few days as I’m sill getting to grips with how all this blogging works. I promise that later I will sit down and blog!
-a quick up date on Shadojak – I’ve almost completed chap 22 and there are only 25 in the book so the first draft will be finished soon. I’m still aiming to complete in June and have it on kindle.
I’ll blog more later

Eversong
Hello friends.
Thank you for taking the time to check out my first blog and my first post.
So far the journey to being an author has been hard. Starting with just a pen and paper some few years ago, then progressing onto writing on a smart phone ( Blackberry, AAGH! ) and saving what I’d written into notes. These notes I emailed to my first tablet, a kindle and then began to write in earnest. A year and a half later and my wife bought me a laptop and within weeks Eversong was published on kindle.
Along the way I’ve picked up a few friends – Paul Manning, who designed the front covers, Gennella who has read the book from it’s earliest stages and Elizabeth Watkins ( Typo sniper ) who is currently undertaking the editing.
My loving wife Jane and four children also make up part of team Salter and have been with me from the start.
I’ve started the blog for a way in which to keep the readers updated on any news, releases and progress of my books. It is also a way for you to make comments. Please don’t hesitate to add your own thoughts – all ideas welcome and don’t be afraid to criticise, I’ve got wide shoulders.
Thank you and please keep checking in.
