Miro Švercel - rodený Partizánčan žijúci niekoľko rokov v zahraničí. Miro Švercel - was born in the young city of Partizánske (Slovakia) and presently lives in the country of the finest chocolates, cheeses and clocks. He is the author of scientific studies in microbiology and is managing a research in this field. Recently, he has found a passion for writing fiction stories. Especially, the Slavic mythology has attracted his interest. With his fantasy and science-fiction stories, he achieved some success in writing competitions in Slovakia and Czech republic, e.g. Martinus Cena Fantázie (2013 – Starec a dieťa, 2016 - Curriculum Vitae et Mortis, 2017 - Keď spomienky mrú..., 2019 - Hic sunt homines), Fantasy Award (2014 – The hempen cloth, 2016 - The hunter of memories), Poviedka Istroconu (2015 – In viro veritas, 2017 - Traja králi, 2018 - Zamatoví emzáci), O Dračí Řád (2015 – Perúnova sekera), Daidalos 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022, or in the competition - Ohnivé Pero (2015 – Max a pehavé strašidlá; 2016 - Max i Pes Fik, Maxmisia, 2017 - Max a wild wild Weston, 2019 - SantaMax), Tovaryši kalamáře (2017 - Primus inter pares, 2020- Řiťuál). He has published in the fantasy anthology -Rozmarná Fantastika (Nevstúpiš do tej istej rieky...), Czech edition of Fascinace (book 5), in the first anthology of fiction stories by Slovak authors written in English - Fragments of Heaven (The Hempen Cloth), lately in the anthology Moderná Urban Fantasy (Detektorista), horror anthology Může se to stát i vám, in scifi collection Zajtra bude včera (Keď nekvapká, aspoň prší), Vianoce, zas Vianoce (Kde je Ježiško?), humour anthology Slovensko Komické (Mavťan) and Slovensko Fantastické (Perunova sekera), Slovenské Temno (Prdimucha), Slovensko Tajomné (Na kolejích stála...), Když sa peklo protrhlo (Max i Démon), and in the journal Pevnost (In Viro Veritas, Tři králové), journal XB-1 (Poslední obr, Země Nikoho, Hra stínů, Jak se stát andělem...) and Howard (Zrkadielko, zrkadielko...) ...
