Last night in Jersey City, Irvine Welsh and Nathan Larson had a truly fascinating conversation about all kinds of things, including (but very much not limited to) UK vs. US slang; Welsh’s mother’s opinion of his new book, The Sex Lives of Siamese Twins; and the author’s American accent, which he described as “John Wayne on steroids” but we found really quite passable — and far better than our attempts at Scottish accents, truth be told.



Would have loved to be there!
