News!

Well, it’s been a couple of weeks since the release of Pirate Bound, and I can say I am pretty pleased with the results so far. For a novella from an unknown author in a niche genre, I feel it is exceeding expectations. Heck, we’ve already broken the “most books on Amazon don’t sell more than 100 copies” adage, twice over. The pre-order for Pirate Nemesis will go live soon, too, so readers will see the series is progressing forward. Very exciting stuff!

But I have even more exciting news! Pi...

A new adventure…

As I sit here and drink my morning coffee, it hits me. I’ve been writing since I was eleven years old – that’s thirty years. And inevitably in that time, whenever someone finds out I’m a writer, they say some variation of: “Oh, that great – do you have anything published?” Now, foCoffee-espressor a number of years, I’ve been able to answer yes to this question. Yes, my husband and I co-wrote a story that was accepted and published in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds VI. I still remember the phone call telling...

Paperback news, and sales talk.

Those of you who follow the Facebook page have already seen it, but this is the print cover for Pirate Bound – isn’t it pretty? The lovely and talented Natasha Snow is my cover artist, and I think it is fair to say she does stunning work. That means proof copies of the paperback will soon be on the way.

Actually, I already created a proof copy. I wanted to get the link on Amazon live for reviews as soon as possible (and if you want to be an ARC reader and read and review an advance copy, just...

The 100 Season 3 episode 2

Roan2I’m just going to leave this right here. We’ll get to it later in this post.

We pick up right where the last episode left off. Bellamy, Kane, Monty and crew are in the rover, trying to wait out the grounders surrounding them. Except, surprise! They aren’t grounders at all. They are Sky Crew who made it to the ground and survived the Ark. And one of them is Monty’s mother! Monty has a wonderful, tearful reunion, and finds out his father didn’t make it. Good news/bad news for him.

Also bad news...

The 100 Season 3 Episode 1

roan
If you haven’t watched The 100 before, it’s a post-apocalyptic CW show, which means it’s filled with young, beautiful people and lots of character-driven drama. It’s also got diverse actors/characters and puts female characters in strong roles. The first two seasons are available on Netflix.

Season 3 picks up three months after the events of the season 2 finale, which saw an end to the mountain people, who used to reap people regularly from the grounder (earth legacy) population, and did hor...

Snippet from Pirate Bound

Sanah leaned up until she could brush her lips across his. The effect was immediate, the feeling between them suddenly intensified. She gasped. The second her lips parted, he gave a low groan, and his mouth covered hers.

Exultation caught Sanah by surprise. She hadn’t realized how much part of her had waited for this. What a relief to actually be feeling from him. Finally, that unnatural control of his broke. Desire flashed over her skin like warmth from a solar flare.

Dem kissed her, and it...

Finally, the cover and blurb reveal to the prequel novella are here! Coming in March:

A desperate gamble…

Sanah would do anything to protect her little sister, even if it means taking refuge with ruthless pirates.
