Barnes & Noble B-Fest Signing: 2nd Location!
That’s right – I’m double-booked for Barnes & Noble’s B-Fest, a celebration of YA lit! Come out and see me in the northern Philly ‘burbs at the Plymouth Meeting Store from 12-2pm and we just added the western Philly ‘burbs at their Exton location from 3-5pm!

Advanced Copies For DREAMER Have Arrived!

Yes, that’s it! Right in my hot little hand! The Advanced Reader Edition for DREAMER!!!
And before you swamp me with requests, please know that I (as the author) only got a very few of these. If you’d like to request a review copy (and you have a book blog), you can do so on the Swoon Reads site but there’s no guarantee that you’ll get one, unfortunately.
Your best bet is to keep your eyes glued to the Swoon Reads site, to Goodreads, and of course, to this blog for giveaway announcements. I’m not sure of the timing on the others, but I can tell you there will be a giveaway here this month! No formal announcement yet, but I’m doing it in conjunction with one of my favorite special occasions. I’ll leave you to reason it out.

What’s Up Wednesday: Near The Finish Line
But it’s only a prelimary race . . .
In other words, the first draft of the next book is done, and I’m frantically finishing up this round of edits. Then off it goes to my editor and I hold my breath and wait.
And clean my house. ‘Cause guys – it really needs it. Between book writing and edits, it’s become rather frightening. But you didn’t come here to read that. You want to know about the next book, but you’ll have to wait till the book gets the official okey-dokey and then I can introduce you to my fine young Irish heroes.
In the meantime, I’ll remind you that I’ll be appearing at B-Fest, Barnes & Noble’s Teen Book Fest in Plymouth Meeting, PA at the end of September, and if you’re lucky, I may even have an ARC of DREAMER to give away! ARC’s should be out in September, so get ready for the squeeeee!!

I don’t remember much about the wounding . . .

. . . other than being very young. When mother finally peeled the bandage off, she turned my wrist this way and that, clucking her tongue.
“Now that’s a proper scar,” she’d said, as if the twisted, red knot of flesh were a prize. A badge of honor—even though I was too slow to avoid being wounded.
As if I could find some pride in being weak.
