Comment on I’m No Stephen King, But– by Stuart Danker

Goals help us not drift through life. Wanting to finish books but not setting them only allows them to remain as vague wisps of wishes in our heads. Awesome stuff that you’re setting and surpassing your goals. We all have our own pace. Here’s to all of us finding ours! And thanks for sharing!

Comment on Don’t Chuck It! by Stuart Danker

Lol that’s a great idea. Here on WordPress I have a draft where I copy and paste everything that didn’t make it to the final version of my articles. I’ve yet to explore that post though, because something tells me that the work of sorting through the haphazardly-pasted paragraphs are only going to stress me out 😛

Anyway, thanks for this post!

Thanks for the advice and I do have a folder with some things that were not used – but your post reminds me to be more intentional

Lol I think that rule is overstated though. So many writers have found great success by using them, JK Rowling being an example, that I’ve given up on writing rules. I haven’t even followed all these rules to a tee and already I’m breaking them. We should write as playfully as we want, is what I say 😛
