The Chris Voss Show Podcast – Navigating Insurance Claims with National Claims Negotiators

Navigating Insurance Claims with National Claims Negotiators

Nationalclaimsnegotiators.com

About the Guest(s):
Ron Snouffer is the owner and CEO of National Claims Negotiators, LLC. With over 20 years of experience in the construction roofing industry and 12 years as a licensed and bonded public insurance adjuster in Texas, Ronald has dedicated his career to helping property owners navigate insurance claims. His company, National Claims Negotiators, is well-known for providing policy analysis, insurance claim expertise, and claim documentation to ensure clients receive the compensation they are entitled to under their policy.

Episode Summary:
In this episode of The Chris Boss Show, host Chris Voss interviews Ron Snouffer, the owner and CEO of National Claims Negotiators, LLC. Ronald shares his insights and expertise in the field of public insurance adjusting, discussing how his company helps property owners navigate complex insurance claims. He explains the challenges faced by property owners when dealing with insurance companies and highlights the importance of seeking professional representation to ensure fair compensation. Ronald also discusses the impact of recent environmental events on insurance claims and the need for better education and regulation in the industry.

Key Takeaways:

Insurance companies are a for-profit industry, and they often try to minimize payouts or deny claims altogether.
Property owners should consider hiring a public insurance adjuster, especially for complex claims such as fire, flood, or tornado damage.
The sooner a public adjuster is involved in a claim, the quicker it can be resolved and the property owner can receive fair compensation.
Insurance policies have become increasingly complex, and it is crucial for property owners to understand their coverage and rights.
The insurance industry needs more regulation and better education for public adjusters to ensure fair treatment for policyholders.

Notable Quotes:

“The insurance companies go, ‘Okay, well let’s go ahead and pay some stuff out here.’ How’s that work? Because of our track record? I mean, they know that we document our files extremely well and we provide enough evidence so that if it does have to be seen by an attorney, that we’ll win.” – Ron Snouffer
“There are no bad questions when it comes to insurance claims. If you don’t understand something, you’re confused, or you feel uneasy about a position that the carrier has put you in, you just need to ask. We’re more than willing to help.” – Ron Snouffer

The Chris Voss Show Podcast – Lead It Like Lasso by Marnie Stockman

Lead It Like Lasso by Marnie Stockman

https://amzn.to/3W4yCEG

Leaditlikelasso.com

When Ted Lasso was hired as the new gaffer (coach) for AFC Richmond, the team, the town, and the entire country made it no secret that they thought he was just a clueless “wanker.” But it was clear, even early on, that Ted knew a thing or two about being a good leader. It’s not about the wins and losses but about helping others become the best versions of themselves.

Much like Ted Lasso the show, Lead It Like Lasso takes an entirely different approach to leadership. The foreword alone will shock you. The lessons outlined are not just for business leaders. Rule #1 – Leadership is Life! These tools can be applied in the board room, the locker room and the living room.

You might want to have a pencil (or your own whiteboard) on hand to work through the activities:

Define your core values and learn how culture impacts your ability to level up
Create a clear vision and purpose for your life to reach your goals
Build your own personal operating system and communication guide
Adopt effective communication strategies to build your network
Envision your legacy and outline a plan to make it happen
This not your grandmother’s leadership book. Heck it isn’t even Ted’s grandmother’s leadership book. This book feels like having your own personal Ted Lasso breaking down leadership lessons in a way that will make you smile – inspiring action you can take right away.

The authors offer leadership lessons from their own successful startup, the lives of the team at AFC Richmond, and top leaders of industry. Level up and lead your life like Lasso. Believe.

Where Do We Go From Here?: Helping Adoptive Parents Guide Their Children Through Trauma & Into Positive Safe Relationships™ by Scotty Aemis

Are you feeling hopeless and lost in a maze of parenting decisions? Are you and your family struggling with the behaviors of your adopted child? Does it seem like they are out of control and acting out at school and home? This book will offer you hope and rekindle the gratitude you had when you first began this journey. The paradox is that everything we’ve been taught, or might logically think, doesn’t work with the trauma adoptive kids experience. Our instincts are to try harder, push harder, and “solve” the problem. But, in fact, the opposite is true. Instead of “fixing” the problem, we need to look at creating a supportive environment in which your child can heal. “What I learned is that the way forward is available if parents are provided the resources, support, and information they need in order to make good decisions for their kids. I am dedicated to support fellow parents who are on a similar journey because all children have the right to live lives of purpose and significance as God intended.”

The Chris Voss Show Podcast – Tripped: Nazi Germany, the CIA, and the Dawn of the Psychedelic Age by Norman Ohler

Tripped: Nazi Germany, the CIA, and the Dawn of the Psychedelic Age by Norman Ohler

https://amzn.to/3PWxLlE

The author of the New York Times bestseller Blitzed returns with a provocative new history of drugs and postwar America, examining the untold story of how Nazi experiments into psychedelics covertly influenced CIA research and secretly shaped the War on Drugs.

Berlin 1945. Following the fall of the Third Reich, drug use—long kept under control by the Nazis’ strict anti-drug laws—is rampant throughout the city. Split into four sectors, Berlin’s drug policies are being enforced under the individual jurisdictions of each allied power—the Soviet Union, Britain, France, and the US. In the American zone, Arthur J. Giuliani of the nascent Federal Bureau of Narcotics is tasked with learning about the Nazis’ anti-drug laws and bringing home anything that might prove “useful” to the United States.

Five years later, Harvard professor Dr. Henry Beecher began work with the US government to uncover the research behind the Nazis psychedelics program. Begun as an attempt to find a “truth serum” and experiment with mind control, the Nazi study initially involved mescaline, but quickly expanded to include LSD. Originally created for medical purposes by Swiss pharmaceutical Sandoz, the Nazis coopted the drug for their mind control military research—research that, following the war, the US was desperate to acquire. This research birthed MKUltra, the CIA’s notorious brainwashing and psychological torture program during the 1950s and 1960s, and ultimately shaped US drug policy regarding psychedelics for over half a century.

Based on extensive archival research on both sides of the Atlantic, Tripped is a wild, unconventional postwar history, a spiritual sequel to Norman Ohler’s New York Times bestseller Blitzed. Revealing the close relationship and hidden connections between the Nazis and the early days of drugs in America, Ohler shares how this secret history held back therapeutic research of psychedelic drugs for decades and eventually became part of the foundation of America’s War on Drugs.

About the author
Norman Ohler is an award-winning German novelist, screenwriter, and journalist. He spent five years researching Blitzed in numerous archives in Germany and the United States, and spoke to eye-witnesses, military historians, and doctors. He is also the author of the novels Die Quotenmaschine (the world’s first hypertext novel), Mitte and Stadt des Goldes (translated into English as Ponte City). He was co-writer of the script for Wim Wenders’ film Palermo Shooting.
