Can science and spirituality coexist?

Science and spirituality have coexisted for centuries, both offering important insights. Many phenomena remain unexplained by science, hinting at a supernatural power. At university, a foreign visitor once asked me, “Where do men come from?”

I replied, “From apes.”

“If we evolved from apes, why do we still have them?”

“We are a different kind of ape.”

He pressed, “Where is the evidence?”

“Darwin must have the evidence,” I answered, reflecting the beliefs I was taught since I was born.

The visitor smiled and shook his head. This conversation led me to enter a church in Shanghai and get baptized in Australia.

While science and technology have advanced our understanding of the world, the power of spirit and faith remain beyond scientific explanation.

Federal Senate Election Campaign

Hi everyone;
I'm excited to introduce my campaign website, https://helenhuanginde.com.au/ as an independent candidate for the 2025 federal senate election.
The website is like an open book, from my primary school photo, a serious little Red Guard with a red scarf around her neck, to today's me with more wrinkles and smiles, from my career path to my spiritual awakening. I explain why I want to run for the senate election and the policies I commit to promote for a greater Australia, such as housing shortage and affordability, Australian renewable energy industry and science and technology development, and anti-corruption and anti- discrimination, etc.
As an immigrant and Australian citizen, single mother, author, architect, domestic builder, and businesswoman who spent the first half of her life in Communist China and embraced the Australian democratic system wholeheartedly, I bring a unique perspective. This diverse background has shaped my life in Australia, from publishing my political thriller to raising four beautiful children and establishing my building business. I'm ready to give back to this nation and its people. Participating in policy-making is one of the most effective ways to ensure our government policies truly serve the Australian people and the nation's future.
I didn't have the right to run to be a member of Communist China's central committee, but I have now, and I'm using that right to serve you, the people, to the best of my ability.
Please visit my campaign website, https://helenhuanginde.com.au/ I'm eager to hear from you. Your thoughts, concerns, and wishes are what inspire and drive me to work hard for Australia. I deeply appreciate your support and look forward to the journey ahead with you. Thank you.

India Needs A Cultural Revolution

It’s great to see Indians march to demand justice for the young Indian female doctor being brutally raped and murdered.
Over the last decades, India has made significant progress in science and technology, from developing nuclear bombs to landing on the moon. However, technological progress alone does not address the deep-rooted societal problem of disrespect for women in India.
Discrimination against women is a major issue globally, with India being one of the hardest-hit due to its patriarchal culture and practices like sati, etc. It requires a cultural and policy shake-up to improve gender equality and give hope for a better future.
I entirely oppose the CCP's totalitarianism and Chairman Mao’s extreme leftist ideology of complete rejection of traditional Chinese culture, which has largely destroyed it. However, its slogan of "WOMEN CAN HOLD UP HALF THE SKY" did liberate Chinese women and elevated their status. It has significantly changed women’s societal roles, to the extent that even Mao’s wife had a nickname: Empress Jiang, the Head of the Cultural Revolution Leading Group.
The counterculture movement of the 1960s in the West had a profound impact on modernizing traditional Western culture and helped pave the way for the feminist movement and the fight for gender equality. Today, there is an implicit expectation in Australia that a certain proportion of leadership positions in every institution will be held by women. This somewhat formality and bureaucratic, yet solid commitment to gender equality, should reassure and instil confidence in a modern society.
The Gangi River culture has been nurturing Indians for thousands of years; it will never disappear, even after a cultural revolution to modernize India's culture. We wish India would achieve gender equality, a crucial element for a harmonious modern society and humanity’s healthy development

Nuclear For Peace Achievable?

On August 6, 1945, a US B-29 dropped a bomb nicknamed "Little Boy" on Hiroshima, instantly killing an estimated 130,000 people and destroying 70% of the buildings. Three days later, a second bomb was detonated in Nagasaki, resulting in another 70,000 deaths. Japan surrendered on August 15, 1945.

However, Japan has risen from the ashes and devoted itself to developing nuclear technology for peace. Today, about 30% of its electrical power comes from nuclear power. Japan even shares its technology with China despite China having nuclear weapons. The nuclear research institute where I worked sent delegations to Japan yearly. Japan has indeed changed from an aggressive country to a peace-loving nation.

So, Nuclear for peace is achievable, yet we are still facing the fear of nuclear war due to ongoing atomic weapon races and nuclear proliferation. The key to preventing another nuclear tragedy like Hiroshima lies in our hands through global cooperation and a united front against the misuse of nuclear technology.

Recollection of life through smell

Melbourne is a paradise for artists. "RECOLLECTION," the latest theatre play by Potkettleblack Productions, is another successful and superb creation that has enriched our culture. The play depicts the healing journey of a single mother after experiencing profound grief over the death of her only child. It offers the audience a spiritual understanding of love, life, death, and the journey to heal.

Director Cathy Hunt has skillfully conducted the stage play and respectfully interpreted the work of the writer Georgia Ketel. Actor Eve Morey's portrayal of the grieving mother is incredibly moving, and Actor Mish Keating brings a rebellious teenage girl to life. The stage design is both versatile and artistic, adding great value and meaning to the play.

I’m grateful to have seen RECOLLECTION, a fantastic stage play. Thanks to all the artists for bringing such a joy to Australia.

No Space Nuclear War

On April 24th, Russia vetoed a UN resolution regarding prohibiting nuclear weapons in space. The Resolution was proposed after Washington accused Moscow of developing an anti-satellite atomic weapon, but Russia denied the allegation. However, the UN resolution reaffirms the Outer Space Treaty signed by the UNSC in 1967, updated after technological advancements. So, Russia's rejection is a setback in the global efforts towards nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation.

The Resolution is not only to protect the technology on which we heavily rely now but also to prevent nuclear weapons from causing a space war that will be beyond the control of humanity. Therefore, for world peace, we should continue pushing for the Resolution.

During the most serious Cold War, the Soviet Union signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) in 1968, which significantly slowed down nuclear weapons development and spread. Today, as a member of the global community, Russia has a significant responsibility to safeguard space. Rejecting this Resolution and pursuing the development of nuclear weapons in space would be a grave misstep with far-reaching implications. However, we understand Russia's veto is a strategic move prompted by the conflict with the West in the Ukraine war and a lack of clear dialogue with the West. Therefore, we must continue to engage with Russia and make it happen.

Once, I stood under the ruins of the Hiroshima Dome, reliving the catastrophic moment when the nuclear bomb was dropped on the site and feeling the deep pain it caused. Today, Japan has again shown us its spirit of resilience by sponsoring this UN Resolution, a commitment to nuclear disarmament and peace. We express our gratitude to Japan for its efforts in banning nuclear weapons. Let's work together to succeed in the UN Resolution, another step towards world peace.

Love hatred generosity and greed

When I was young, reading Vanity Fair (a classic novel by English author William Makepeace), I admired Amelia's innocence, not losing herself for money and status. I didn't like Becky's dirty game of manipulating others to survive.

The recent year-long saga of hate attacks on me for fame and money has helped me better understand the true meaning of Vanity Fair. I marvel at William's ability to explore human nature deeply. After experiencing many upheavals, Amelia maintains her faith and optimism, while Becky lives as a charitable lady after murdering her wealthy husband. The novel doesn't give readers a traditional satisfactory ending with the hero's victory and the villain's defeat, but it leaves readers to imagine and write an alternative ending.

Love, hatred, generosity and greed are forever tests of human weakness. May we maintain faith in justice, fairness and love, and never lose ourselves on our journey.

1st Congress on China's Directions

Congratulations to the 1st Congress on China's Directions held in Washington.

Like Sun Yat-sen, whose experience of studying and living in the West later contributed to overthrowing the Qing dynasty, your political ideas are significant to establish a systematic frame based on China's current situation for a new democratic China's birth.

Soon after arriving in Australia, I attended a few local overseas Chinese pro-democracy meetings. Three decades have passed, and the Chinese democratic movement continues, although it hasn't greatly impacted the CCP's ruling status in China. However, any anti-CCP activities are a bullet to the CCP, so long as we unite as one. A new democratic China will contribute dramatically to world peace, so we must obtain recognition and help from the international community; it is encouragement and support for the pro-domestic people in China that the CCP fears most.

With the AI rapid development, China under Xi Jinping's totalitarian rule, is far worse than in Sun's time, and democratic activists are risking their lives fighting inside China. In my latest novel, Nuclear Shadow Nuclear Dawn, the sequel to Nuclear Power Nuclear Game, I added a scene of Zoe and Little Red rescuing an underground anti-communist activist to escape the police interception and chase. It is the song to the heroes on the frontline inside China and the prayer to the heroes to be safe until China becomes a democratic country.

Trust the 1st Congress on China's Directions is a new chapter for a free China.

Carlson interview Putin

Carlson's interview lets the West hear and understand Putin's view without twist, particularly since Russia invaded Ukraine. Trustworthy journalism must let both sides speak and lay the truth under light to let the public see and comment freely. Anyone, organisations and government trying to attack Carlson and trash his interview is to fool the public and insult the public's intelligence.

The West views Putin as a dictator who has stopped Russia's transition from autocracy to democracy. However, we have ignored the fact that Russia is making slow progress in getting rid of its decades of Communist dictatorial influence. Once I was in Russia, I saw happy and prosperous there. At a statue park, seeing the ruins of Stalin and Lenin's sculptures piled on the ground, I knew the country was glad to get rid of communism. And I couldn't see it would happen in Communist China.

Russia and Ukraine's war has its historical reasons. The West should encourage the two sides to reach a peace deal, not continue the war. War only brings Lose-Lose. While Putin and Zelenskyy have armistice negotiations, the West must remove prejudice against Putin because of his strong personality and his strong nationalist view, which is in Conflict with Western globalism.
Let Russia continue working on its political and economic reform and gradually become a truly democratic country.
Let Ukraine be free of war and rebuild a prosperous and independent country.
