Loo dilemma
Be it theatre ,concert or in a tent
When you need the loo
There is always a queue
You stand in line
Contemplate crime
Why does it take so long
When theres a throng
For women to pee
Its way beyond me
What else to do
When you want the loo
Behind a tree
People will see
Need to squat
Better not
Its so unfair

Oasis in Time
We are strangers, connected by the Internet, combining life and fantasy.
Although familiarity, knowing the other, is becoming more a reality.
We touch bases sharing our lives, or the parts we want to share, maybe a swiz.
Our time is spent, in banter, in play, in idle chat, in sexy innuendo, adding fizz.
How much is real, how much dream, is this relationship what it seems?
That feeling of connection; seems so real, I fear it is, mostly a dream.
Will we ever meet? My hope my wish. It will never happen, it’s not in life’s scheme.
We share a window, connected in time
A little oasis, ours for a short time.

Five thirty in the morning
Five thirty in the morning laying wide awake,
Mouth feeling parched like the desert, bladder like a lake,
Close my eyes and try to doze, it’s too early not to be comatose,
Curled down on my side, breathing deep, buying more time for dozy snooze,
Ah mind has other ideas, going over issues raising fears,
Bladder grumbling hitting high, feels as if it’s to my ears,
Giving in grumpily I rise, to my body I acquiesce,
Looking out the window, see the emerging sun,
A new day has started, no need to be glum,
Sleep time over start the day, I was wide awake anyway.

Learning to be
Learning to be,
Can be hard you see,
Life teaches us early who we are,
Can make us doubt ourselves, makes lasting scars.
If we focus on others judgements,
The negatives, can stunt our circumference,
Told you are no good at that,
Are ugly, stupid that’s a trap.
Learning to be the person, that fulfills their own potential,
Can be hard, if we believe we can’t be successful,
We are duff at sums, we have no charm,
We can’t attract a mate, communication causes alarm.
Living with the mantra of negativity,
Becomes a self fulfilling prophecy,
Yet each of us in unique,
Why do we have to follow the herd or be the freak?
Learning to be, can be hard,
Some never manage keep their marked card,
Others start to realise they like their self,
Gain confidence, count their strengths, grab life itself.
Learning to be, is easy for some,
They have self love and confidence from day one,
Get positive feedback, grab the day,
Breeze through life, like through a holiday.
From where ever we start,
It’s important to be, all you want to be,
Start with caring for you, seeing the good,
Celebrate your achievements, search out the dead wood.
Each of us is unique, and deserves to live life to the full, before they die,
Aware of who they are, shining brightly in the sky.

Aura
The aura surrounding you, mellifluous sound and light
Colours blending and changing, music in my mind
Your aura enchants me ,pure cosmic delight
There’s beauty, surrounding us keeping love inclined
Flagrant words ,that cannot tell meaning of the whole
The obtuse sits beside us and on bad days bends our karma
Working together, syncopating our needs, puts blackness on parole
Striving for growth boosting the factors that keeps our souls, glued conquered
Colouring our world with lights and joy.

Pleasure
Dipping into a world of pleasure
Seeing pictures, making stories to treasure
Sweet swirling melody of life
A cauldron of colour into which I dive
Sometimes there is need, for sweet relief
Solo colours are picked then interweaved
Changing then warming, ever new
Shimmering, erotic, exotic hues
Vibrating, trailing flashes of light
Causing that blanket of colour to reignite
Solo colours peopled with dreams
Sensuous flirty misty schemes
My bag full of pleasure is shared in part
Creating the landscape for vicarious art

Sneaky year
Oh woe, I woke up today,
Granted a good thing,anyway,
I looked in the mirror and seemed the same,
Slightly creased and crumpled, hair a tatty mane,
My angst, is mostly due to the fact,
I aged a whole year in the night, a really unfair attack,
Birthdays are often fun,
More especially, when we are young,
I can’t quite celebrate, like the New Year,
Will make an effort later though, let’s be clear,
Checked again, face looks very much the same,
Grinning now, deciding to play life’s game,
Using my new perfume, designed for the rebellious girl,
Up and at life, age is a label, new avenues to unfurl,
With age comes wisdom (some of the time),
I am maturing like a fine red wine,
Or maybe a piece of maturing cheese,
But staying youthful if you please,
That sneaky added year, that arrived in the night,
Will not change things without a fight.

The villain
Dearest,deadly, denizen
Playing, prophetic, pendulum
Stalking, skulking, snatching
Hooded, hombre, hatching
Cruel, calculated, catastrophe
Helpless, hedonistic, heraldry
Victim, value, visionless
Beware, bewitched, balanceless
Deadly, deeds, despised
Monster, stalks, prize.

Jigsaw of life
cherish those pieces of you I shared,
It had to be enough, the times we cared,
Propping me up in times of woe,
Helping to fight the common foe,
My knight in armour,
I think maybe not, knight in ardour,
That’s a possible plot,
We never had a future just a here, to adopt,
A mutual need, so no angst or hook,
Sharing our time, like pages in a book,
Learning to grow and fulfill myself,
Came directly from scraps, found on our shelf,
The jigsaw of life more complex than some,
Fitting together, our demons overcome,
Once more the jigsaw of life is tipped from the box,
Lots of the middle retained its locks,
Fitting the stray pieces together again,
With new insights a clearer refrain,
I cherish those pieces of you I shared,
Learning and growing my jigsaw is prepared.

Willing you to smile
I am in a silly mood
Not the sort to cause a feud
This crazy streak
May make me wreak
Happy havoc
As I speak
I want to make the whole world smile
Although that may take a while
So instead will start with you
Try to will you smiling too!
