A Fynn Young Series Book 3
A short excerpt from the upcoming book 3 in the Fynn Young Series.
“Nic.” I yell.
“Come and get your lunch.” I say to Nic.
No answer. I figure he is in the restroom, so I walk back. Upon reaching his office, I can smell the faint trace of blood. I go into panic mode. I start yelling for Jade and I can hear her running down the hall.
“What?” she screams.
“He’s gone. He’s not here. And I smell blood.” I cry out.
“Maybe he got a paper cut or something. Maybe he cut himself on something.” Jade says, trying to comfort me.
I shake my head as I walk around his desk and see a big spot of blood on the carpet by his chair.
“Oh God Jade. Someone has hurt him. there’s blood here. Call Mason.” I cry.
Jade runs to get her phone and calls Mason.
“Hi love. We have a problem. Nic is missing. Fynn and I went to get lunch, came back, he’s gone and there is blood in his office.” Jade tells Mason.
“I am on my way.” Mason tells her.
Fifteen minutes later, Mason bursts through the doors and down the hall. He comes in the office, heads behind the desk and smells the air and sniffs around Nic’s chair.
“Blaez.” Mason says, turning red with rage.
“What?” I ask.
“Blaez and his pack scent is all over Nic’s desk and chair.” Mason says.
“The bastard has taken him to bargain for you.” Mason tells me.
“Nic.” I yell.
“Come and get your lunch.” I say to Nic.
