Sizzle Reel
Looking forward to doing more speaking this year—just did an online interview out in April, and today confirmed a talk for May—so put together this new “sizzle reel” that highlights my past speaking engagements, podcasting, interviews, performances, and more. It was fun looking back on some great experiences from the past few years. Looking forward to more!

Vietnam Documentary

An honor and a pleasure conducting interviews for a Talk Vietnam documentary about National Geographic photographer Catherine Karnow's many years working in Vietnam. It was a genuinely inspiring day hearing from past workshop participants about Catherine's love for both photography and Vietnam, as well as the ways in which she and her work have had such a positive and profound impact on so many— workshop participants and the Vietnamese people alike. Thank you Catherine! And thank you to the generous, thoughtful, and fun interviewees Carol Thomas, Lori Smith Docherty, and Becky Benenate, as well as to Chris Scott for ensuring we were well lit despite a surprisingly rainy day outside!

Great Litquake in the Redwoods!

A brief video montage of last Saturday's literary celebration in the redwoods, part of Litquake's 20th anniversary festivities.
Hosted by Naomi Goldner and Tom Phillips of WordSpaceStudios Literary Arts and emceed by yours truly, the event featured music, paella, and writers, including the following (in order of appearance): Susan Swartz, Barbara L. Baer, Eanlai Cronin, Conrad Bishop, Elizabeth Fuller, Maureen Simons, Jodi Hottel, Amy G. Latham, Larry Robinson, Martha Grover, Nona Caspers, Maya Khosla, and Jessi Phillips. A special shout-out to authors Erin Byrne and Lone Mørch who were unable to make it and were missed!
Many thanks to Jan Hammock and Enulla Shamir for behind-the-scenes help, as well as huge thanks to Brian Cullen for two days spent preparing the property for the event.
Lastly, apologies for the grainy quality of the video later in the evening; time for a camera upgrade!
Thank you for a wonderful event!
