A new historical series FULL of second chance romance
I love second chances. Redemption is just one of my all-time favorite things. I love the growth, the struggle, the release of the past and (most of all) I love sighing at a happy ending.
I’ve put together a new series with three friends of mine, Lynda Cox, Christi Corbett, and Lucette Nel to bring you Redemption Bluff. This little settlement only has one kind of man, those who have been redeemed from a lawless past.
The women in Redemption Bluff see it as their mission to not only keep these men on the straight and narrow, but to bring others to the fold. Keep watch here or on my newsletter for more updates and teasers. For now, here’s the first cover in the series. It is now on preorder. Along A Tangled Path
I’m a little over halfway done with my new release blitz of the Brother’s of Belle Fourche novellas.
Only one more to go.
Today, Along A Tangled Path released. This one was such fun to write because it absolutely couldn’t be instalove. Do you know how hard it is to limit yourself to roughly 35,000 words and not have sparks fly from the get-go?
It’s hard.
But I loved the challenge. How would a man feel if he KNEW something was different, but was afraid to say anything?
How would he feel when what he suspected was proven true?
Charles Oleson is known for defending women, but this will test his limits.
It’s fall round up at the Broken Circle O and a new crop of hands sign on for the job. When Charles is assigned a small, mute man to watch over, he despises the injustice. That is, until he realizes there’s more to Will Galliger than meets the eye.
Wilhelmina “Will” Galliger will do whatever it takes to earn her own plot of land, including acting like a man.
Will has pretended to be mute for three years as she’s worked all over the West, just trying to earn enough money buy her own spread. As a woman who had been treated as chattel, she works doggedly for independence. Landing on a ranch with different rules than she’s used to lands her under speculation, and risk of discovery.
Charles and Will fight against an attraction that seems wrong until Will’s secret comes to light. Can she still have her dream of her own ranch and the man she’s grown to love, or will he be unable to see past the shadow of her pretend life?
Scroll up and order this tension-filled sweet romance by bestselling Christian author Kari Trumbo. It’s book 6 in the highly successful Brothers of Belle Fourche series.

The Brothers are Back!
I loved writing in my fictional world of Belle Fourche. Though it is based on a real town in South Dakota, it is fictionalized, but that didn’t make it any less real to me. Apparently, readers thought so too because they couldn’t get enough.
I got so many messages begging me to come up with a way to have more Belle Fourche that I felt I had to come up with something. But what? I was out of brothers!
Anne (Eli’s wife in Deep Longing of the Soul) has a rather cantankerous brother who happened to show up in Belle Fourche and stay. He was the only real character I had to work with to bring a new set of brothers in, but he and Anne had no other siblings. Dead end.

Enter Natalie Oleson (did you catch that) and her three brothers (VOILA!) who have been traveling the south for years, making wooden prosthetic limbs for amputees. Now, there’s a story!
Natalie has no idea she’s just sat on a wasp nest when she asks to help Cody by building him a wooden limb, but it doesn’t take her long to figure out that Cody’s stinging words only last for a short time and his rancor is caused by wounds deeper than a missing limb.
To see how Natalie helps Cody become whole physically, emotionally, and spiritually; And how Cody shows Natalie that the past doesn’t define who you are, and that the Lord is good, always… you’ll have to click HERE.

What the Heart Holds- Audiobook Review
A great review of What the Heart Holds.
Title: What the Heart Holds (Brothers of Belle Fourche #2)
Author: Kari Trumbo
Narrator: J Scott Bennett
Genre: Historical Romance
Audio Release: Nov 26, 2018
Length: 3hrs 39min
About the Book:
Arnold’s first love died in the Cheyenne river.
He’s sure he’s had his one love. To guard his heart, he wants nothing to do with women. No one could ever compare to his Lynellen. He will work hard, be respectful, never forget.
Stephenia is the new teacher in Belle Fourche when she almost meets her Maker.
Arnold saved her life, and maybe her heart. She’s avoided relationships her whole life, afraid of the pain of loss. When she finally gives up on him, he has to choose between the love he’s lost and the one who found him.
My Review:
Normally I’m not a fan of male narrators because of how annoying they sound when attempting…

8 Things Guaranteed To Make Readers Angry
There are certain topics and actions that will almost universally set all booklovers off. Oh, some will have different levels of anger—see my handy scale below—but if you’re a dedicated reader, you probably share some of the same pet peeves and irritations with your fellow bookworms.
I’m Amy Green, fiction publicist here at Bethany House, and I’ve noticed a few trends in reader posts on social media about what readers really hate. Let’s all rant together now, shall we? (It’ll make us feel better.)
One: Spoilers
This happens most often in online reviews, but pity the real-life friends who start with an innocent discussion of the main premise of a book and then, wham! Out of nowhere, a major spoiler from the last half of the book or beyond. “It’s very touching, just don’t get too attached to So-and-So…” “My favorite part is when you find out that What’s-His-Name is…

Coming Soon!
I’m testing the waters with my own Contemporary series. This is an idea I brainstormed all on my own, Olympic Hopefuls. Each story will be a stand-alone, but in each story, one of the characters will have a dream of making it to the Olympics.
The first story will be coming out October 23rd and here is the cover. I absolutely adore it and I can’t wait to tell you Isla and Duncan’s story. Oh! And as a special nod to my home state of Minnesota, this story takes place in the suburbs of Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Teach Me To Love is now on Audible
I’ve been so excited to jump into audio book production on some of my favorite series. So far, I’ve got the first 2 books of the Seven Brides of South Dakota in audio, and I’m proofing the the third one right now. Because sales of this book have been so good, I’ve also got the first book in the Brothers of Belle Fourche series in audio.
This book has been a favorite of readers and I get emails telling me how much they love it. For those who love audiobooks, this series is now open. Production on book 2 will start next month.
