Poetry Monday #22

So, I missed a week. But good things were happening. I had a Cover Reveal for my new book. If you haven’t seen it, you should check it out. It’s beautiful.

And now – poetry.

You’re right. I’m wrong.

Same old dance to a different song.
The lyrics vary day to day.
The melody is constant. It will never change.
Because of us.
This is our song.
The one that makes you right and me wrong.

I take the lead, then it’s your turn.
The hook is deep. The verses burn.
It will never end. We will never learn...

Sneak Peek from The Lunam Ceremony

“Finding out I was part wolf wasthe coolest thing that ever happened to me. After seeing my mom turn, I was obsessed. I kept calendars in my room, counting down the days until my eighteenth birthday when Iwould phase. I pestered my mom with questions every morning before school and every night as we ate dinner. I begged for stories about her Lunam_Nook_KoboLunam Ceremony and how she met my father. Lunam isn’t just a coming of age ceremony where I will phase; it’s also where I’m supposed to meet my true lov...

Poetry Monday #21

This started as a love poem then went way off course. That’s why I love it. It was actually 4 poems that I morphed into one.

The path I follow has no signs.

No lights.

No lane.

I make my own way.

Follow my own rules.

Create my fate.

In your hand is a map.

A blue dot on a page.

It’s leads to a place where smiles are saved.

You guide the way.

In your world.

Colors swirl.

Time is replaced with feelings of joy.

No more heart ache.

We kiss through the night into the day.

You whisper to me.

Cause…Vegas.

I was supposed to write a blog today.

But I just spent the last 3 nights in Vegas.

My flight home was delayed FOUR HOURS.

Then I ate Wingstop for lunch.

So, I’m going to die now.

Poetry Monday #20 – Voices

The voice of reason speaks too low.
It’s always late or doesn’t show.
Mistakes are made.
Words are spoke.
You can’t take back what the world now knows.

The voice is wicked.
The voice is hard.
The voice will rip your world apart.

Trust your heart.
It won’t lead you blind.
Your heart is the reason
I gave you mine.
