A perfectly clean mind is also ‘No Mind’. In yoga, it is referred to as Samadhi.

However, before even talking about Samadhi, one must start meditating.

What can I learn in one minute that will be useful for the rest of my life?

What I am going to tell you, can be leant in a second and is immensely useful. The golden quality that you can and should learn is – SILENCE

It doesn’t sound that important, right? Before you make up your mind, please see the following advantages of silence:

I have read many books that help in training and strengthening the mind. Those are mostly in self-help category. But the book that helped me expand my mind and I read it recently is – Kane and Abel by Jeffery Archer

I really loved the book for the wide expanse of experiences that it transfers to you. Listing a few here:

Happy Employees, Productive Employees!

Traditionally, the pursuit of happiness and wellbeing has been considered as something to be done outside of workplace. This notion is resulting into a sub-optimally productive work culture. Modern corporations need to start thinking of ways to integrate the wellbeing of their employees into their work schedule. They need to emphasise the importance of having a healthy and happy workforce.

So, how does the employees’ state of health and happiness affect productivity? During more than eighte...

MUST READ books for 18 to 30 year olds

My personal favourite must read books that I tell youngsters to read are listed herewith. I have had the pleasure of mentoring and coaching many young people (in 20s) and their feedback on these books has further cemented my belief in their motivational power:

The Richest Man in Babylon by George Clason – The reason I suggest this must read book for people in 20s is that ‘Wealth” issues suddenly become important when you hit this age. Earlier in life either people are not aware of money matt...

An Exciting New Health Juice!!

How good are concentrated natural juices?

I was always told that eating fresh fruits or cooked vegetables is better. This is due to the fact that when you eat the whole fruit or vegetable, you get the roughage and the digestion works better. Some even believe that the nutrients get destroyed in the process of extracting the juice and if the vegetables are over-cooked.

Our family has always been heavy on fruits and vegetables consumption. Still, somehow all us have been facing a variety of...

Finding it Hard to Change Your Spouse?

Foundation of a happy marriage is the process of two-way communication. And this process needs to be healthy. As part of a healthy two-way communication, giving and receiving feedback is inevitable but how you do it can make or break your marriage.

Giving and receiving feedback can be a tricky affair. Whether it is a parent giving feedback to a child or a boss giving feedback to the employee, the process needs to be managed carefully.

Should You Compare Your Spouse to Others?

If you are looking for a secret to the mythical creature called ‘happy marriage’, read on.

Comparing ourselves, our situation, our achievements and our belongings with others is a regular phenomenon. From the time we attain senses and go to school, comparisons of many kinds are either enforced by society or arise naturally.

Indeed, our society is based on comparative metrics and there is no running away from comparisons. Kids compare their marks in exams, parents compare the kids to other...

How do Toppers Study? (Anatomy of 6 Types of Toppers)

Someone asked me this question recently on Quora.com. Here is what I came up with.

Just like one size doesn’t fit all, top students also have different styles of studying. I will share some of the styles that I have come across at IIT Delhi and XLRI Jamshedpur:

Phodu. Simply cracks everything. This is the Super-Genius variety. This person has photo-memory, crystal clear logic and hundred percent absorption of what he or she reads, sees and hears. This kind of student is normally not seen stu...
