Traveling to your Destiny
Hi (or as my UK PA Sylv says), Hiya,
I have lots of free things on here for you but first, a word about traveling.
Did you know that if you travel out of the U.S. and need a new passport, you can get one with more pages for the same amount of money as the regular book? Of course, if you do little international travel, or just to Canada or Mexico from the U.S., they don’t stamp your passport and that’s not an issue. I made a trip to the U.K. a few years back, and only needed one stamp but I did get an extra one at the Isle of Anglesey but that was a choice. Not even a stamp in Ireland. (yes, I’m pouting) It’s been many years since I’ve lived in Europe but no stamps needed if we were driving through the borders. Only if flying in. (Yes, I know it takes less time, but it’s a memento, you know?”

“That is enough of that, Miss Maya.”
Without another word, Paxton reached his hand around her waist, pulled her hard and tight against his belly and landed a handful of hard swats on her ass. She raised her soulful brown eyes to Pax’s hazel ones, reached her hand around to rub her ass and settled down immediately.

“Pax, I want to take her home.”
Pax did too but playing devil’s advocate was what he did. “You what? She’s uncontrollable, wild. We have work to do.” He said all the expected things.
“She’s a challenge and we need a new one. She’ll fit right in. I know this is what we’re supposed to do. Our next chapter. Don’t you feel it?”
It wasn’t a request. Sterling was serious. While Paxton was the regional head of their Ambrose Society, Sterling was head of their steering committee on research. If Sterling wanted to go in that direction, no one would argue. Besides, it went hand in glove with Sterling’s research on assimilation, behavioral implants, and psychic connections. And then there was his new gift, a dream linking ability. The technology was there to do it and he’d helped to create it but to be able to do it personally, and then work with the one you linked with? Priceless.
“Paxton, we’re taking her home.”
“I figured. The uncontrollable ones always end up at the house, be they human or, with the advent of Zander, animal. Plants are never unruly and when they are, you prune them.”

“I need to speak with Prince Giles,” she begged, her voice a needy whimper.
He landed a light slap on her behind. “Now, sweetness, I don’t want to hear another man’s name on your lips. Still, give me your oath and accept me as your overlord, and I may permit it. Once they’re back from their honeymoon.”
“Flaming arrogant wolf.” She kicked out in fury. “Just cut me loose and go chew on a bone or something.”
“Perhaps you need more time to consider, or maybe I should continue our game. Maybe a little pain will heighten your pleasure.”
He pulled a knife from nowhere and cut the rope above her wrists. She’d hoped he meant to set her free, but he tossed her facedown on the bed. It’s That Time of Year Again…
It’s that time of the year when we change focus, again. Now we are in the last months of the year and we tend to review what our year goals were, stake stock in the realities and relevancy of those goals, and push forward, renewed in our determination to meet as many of our hopes and dreams as we can. Before the holidays if we are lucky but before the New Year, when we do a complete overhaul and start again.
If you are a well organized person, you have one year, five year and maybe even ten year goals. This has been a huge transition year for us. Retirement for hubby and career trials and errors for me. I intend on refocusing my writing goals.
I am nearly finished with the O’Connor Series. I might bring in a few novellas for holidays but Cian and Molly, nearly written, is the last unmarried sibling. The last book transitions to one of my new series, Safe and Secure, Saving Sharlee was the first in that series. Several other new series, Clearwater Ranch has two more books in the offing and Wind River Series needs revisiting.
So, am I where I want to be in September 2018? Not quite. But close. Next year is already in the planning. How about you? Are you finding time to refocus your goals and efforts to come in strong as the year closes? I hope so.

When the sharp whistle pierced the air, Eileen was unprepared. With a snort, Minion reared up and whinnied then took off at an instant gallop, dragging Delilah with him. It was Minion who was leading now, and with the rope tied to Delilah’s saddle, Delilah automatically took off after him, following his lead like a subservient female. Eileen cursed as she grabbed the reins and tried to pull Delilah in, but the little mare was rebelling, not wanting to return to her control. It was only a matter of seconds before Minion came to a halt in front of the mocking Gallagher and Eileen was looking into the piercing eyes of her handsome new husband.

Good Morning,
Well, home school started last Monday and it has taken a week before I think we are in a rhythm and schedule we can deal with.
Our youngest son is graduating before Christmas and then we will be down to one lone daughter. We are working on our “second” round of children of which there have been six . It has been a long haul for us (over 38 years of parenting), but one well worth the work and extension of our “active duty” parenting.
While I thought about that this week, watching as my husband takes his retirement and finds a livable balance with a new normal, I can see the many ways that we, as parents, friends, lovers, weave to avoid the obstacles and embrace the joys in life to ultimately create a lovely tapestry of our days, unique to ourselves.
My hope for you all, as we start into the final harvest of the year and the fall season, is that we remember to savor the spices of life. Find comfort in the challenges because we are weaving our life’s tapestry and we will look back fondly on those threads as each stage of life blends with another.

Cal loved that Jenny was honest with him, even when she knew it would get her in trouble. His mind flashed back to a time she had lied to him early in their relationship and the spanking had been significant. I’ve been happily married for thirty-five-years and my sweet husband has gotten used to the unique experience of living with a writer. He is very encouraging and an excellent editor when he’s pressed into service.
I’ve been intrigued by spanking stories since before I first saw Ricky spank Lucy. Stories of this nature were hard to come by before the Internet and the ones I found were a little harsh on discipline and very much lacking in love. So, I made up my own stories and enjoyed these in my head for years. I finally began writing them down. Although the lovely women in my stories are spanked often, the love between them and their men takes top priority.
My Cassie’s Space series shows a mature couple who are deeply in love. Despite loving Cassie’s free-spirited ways, Tom is determined to keep her safe, even if it takes a trip over his knee. And with her friend Sue by her side and all they get into, a trip over his knee is very likely. My new series, Cal’s Law, is about a younger couple. Though they come from very different backgrounds, love and discipline draw them together.

Calling all Christmas lovers!
I have some news! I am part of a wonderfully talented group and have been kindly invited to join them on this Love, Christmas 2 Collection.
But before I venture further into that, I wanted to talk about changes in my world. So, its August, the month where U.S. children return to school. Remember we have 11 children (long, complicated story. OF COURSE, I’m writing a book about it but not in this arena. I’ll keep you updated as there are updates.)
But, for now, lets focus on the new upcoming events. I have the first book of Cian and Molly’s story done and the remaining two of the trilogy outlined. WHEW! I’m excited to finish them and that is the only WIPS I am working on as I promised to have it earlier in the summer and things…LIFE… got in the way.
Anyway, we are homeschooling again this year but adding our 8th grader (our youngest. Her brother will graduate in November with plans to go to college in January.) Hope the heat moderates for us ALL!

Updates, a Contest, Recommendations
I’ve been busy this summer, how about you? I went to Blushing Books workshops in May then RT18-Reno, NV in May, Deadwood, SD in June, road-tripping in July, and East Texas Book Bash last weekend. WHEW!
I am finding how different retirement is when you don’t have most of your children and grandchildren around. This is only the third time in almost 30 years that I have spent the whole summer south of Alaska and let me tell you it has been a learning experience.
I’ll share a few things:
Lesson 1: It is HOT! I might repeat this one, because it is important. It is HELLACIOUSLY HOT! (adverb important here!)
Lesson 2: There are no grandchildren. On a day I want to be quiet and work hard, that is acceptable. But on the days you’re being lazy or your husband is bothering you while you are trying to work…or you have lots of leftovers… not so much.
Lesson 3: You can say, “Let’s go for a drive,” and leave in ten minutes for a day trip, seeing new sights while driving the highways. Not easy on an Island.
Lesson 4: If someone asks for a “coke” you must ask “what kind”.
Lesson 5: Summer rainstorms involve lightning and thunder but not gale force winds.
Lesson 6: It still gets dark in the south during summer- but it is still HOT!
Lesson 7: You are going to miss Alaska’s mountains, oceans, and your family but you will love the wide open spaces and things to do in Texas. So spend part of the year in Texas and part in Alaska. Best of both worlds. That’s us next year!
