The Cover for Malibu Betrayals!

This journey has taught me a lot about myself. I am not as patient as I always imagined, I can be quite stubborn (shhhhh! Don't tell my husband LOL! ), and when knocked down I jump back up.  Good thing, because there is a lot to do! Malibu Betrayals, my first to be published book is coming July 28th! The cover makes it real! There's no turning back now...LOL! Catch me, I may be falling!

Pikes Peak Writers 2015 ~ Amazing as Always

Pikes Peak Writers Conference 2015 did not disappoint! I reconnected with many of my lovely writer friends from Colorado Springs and Denver. I took part in my first workshop with Liz Pelltier, the owner of Entangled Publishing. The workshop covered from wanting to write to getting published and beyond. We received great feed back, and I just might do one again someday. :-)

I met R.L. Stine, Andrew Gross, and the lovely Mary Kay Andrews. If you write and you've never attended a conference before, PPWC is the perfect place to start. Known as the most friendly conference in the nation, it delivers every time.

Mother's Day is right around the corner, and I always think of the woman who has mothered me from the other side since I was seven. I've missed her sweet smile and her warm hugs, and her ability to always make me feel loved. In honor of the mother whose love I try and pass on to my own children, Happy Mother's Day!

About Maria Faulconer

Maria Faulconer has published fiction and nonfiction for children and adults. She loves writing stories, especially ones that tug at the heartstrings. A huge animal lover, and an adoptive mom herself, she knew when she saw a photo of a baby gorilla snuggling with his surrogate mom that she had to tell their story – A Mom for Umande. Her first children’s book, Arianna and the Strawberry Tea, was used for a statewide literacy program. She currently writes for Colorado Springs Style magazine and is working on a YA novel. She lives in Colorado with her husband and two children.

My first release coming July 28th...

My debut novel Malibu Betrayals is set to be released July 28th. I am beyond thrilled with a healthy dose of terrified! You see, I don't just want to write one book, I want to write hundreds. I want to make a robust career out of this thing I love...this thing called love. The cover is coming soon!

RWA 2015 in New York City!

I'm off to RWA - Romance Writers of America - conference in New York City this July. I am very excited. I would love to go people watch in Central Park! With so many friends to see, and all the authors I can fan-girl over, it will be heaven on earth.
