"The bottom line is when a story is great and resonates with readers it will be shared."

"The bottom line is when a story is great and resonates with readers it will be shared."

I wish this were true, but it's not. Things get shared on Medium if they are a topic that Medium favors and if the writer has a huge number of followers.

And on FB Medium groups people are essentially trading reads for reads. No real difference than trading claps for claps other than it might take some more time assuming the person actually reads the story all the way through. Which, if you look at the read time for pretty much any of your stories that doesn't seem to be the case at all.

But, like I said, I didn't really think this one through too well. Just an idea that flashed in my head. Those that are benefitting from the new MPP don't seem to think it has much value. Maybe they are right.

All the creative writers I've heard from have said the opposite.

All the creative writers I've heard from have said the opposite. We all did much better with the old system.

Yeah, his story is a dsad one.

Yeah, his story is a dsad one. Such an amazing talent who died of tuberclious at a young age before his writing became some of the greatest short fiction of all time. And he seemed like a geniunly nice person as well who sadly lived a hard life.

Franz Kafka is one of the greatest fiction writers ever, but he died virtually unknown.

Kind of a morbid way for me to keep my hopes up.

Thanks for reading and commenting.

Thanks for reading and commenting. A lot of creative writers have been either shifting their work to these other sites or leaving Medium all together for a while now.
