I learned this is a bit of a problem though with Amazon and short reads.
Amazon won't ad the category short reads to your category list. You used to be able to email them and ask and they would do it. I tried the other day for my novelette and they flat out refused. No explanation other than it isn't part of their current business model. That makes it a lot harder for potential readers to find our books since short reads is a common keyword when people search Kindle/Amazon for books.

I'm glad at the very least someone that isn't an open Climate Change denier in the White House again. If we don't get that back on track real soon, assuming it isn't aleady too late, all the rest won't matter anyway.

Amazon makes a lot of money selling Amazon ads to writers that most likely won't see a ROI on the ads they run.
It isn't easy to sell books at all on Amazon or anywhere else. Especially chapbooks and poetry collections.
