Well, once again, if you only write in the topics that Medium favors and use really good click bait…
Well, once again, if you only write in the topics that Medium favors and use really good click bait headlines, like "How a Earned Buttloads of Cash on Medium...." yeah, you might make it into the .0001% that make a living from Medium.
But, if you just write quality stuff that you are passionate about, don't expect much from Medium. It's all about the algorithms. Good and great writing takes a backseat most of the time here.

Excelent point. I think your question has produced some of the greatest literature in history. And I'm not sure any of those authors were able to completely answer the question either.
But 150 words might be a great jumping off point for something longer in the future.

I would say neither.
I would say neither. Good or bad are based on current perceptions. Give a close read to any of the ancient "holy books". By modern standards, many of their moral and ethical laws are horrific.
And there's no way around the crocodile in our brain stems which only "moral imperatives" are:
Do I run from it? Do I fight it? Do I mate with it? Do I eat it? Or possibly all four.

Considering what's in store due to Climate Change, a lower population is probably not a bad thing…
