Character Takeover Interview

I hosted Shaw, Rowan, and Caleb from A Mage’s Power on my social media platforms, letting them have the run of the place and answer questions from fans.  For those who couldn’t make it as part of the fun, I’ve compiled all the questions and answers from Facebook and Tumblr into a giant interview here.  Enjoy!

Hey, everyone!

Cover Reveal!

Book 2 of the Inquisition Trilogy, A Vampire’s Redemption, is finally coming your way! Look for it in early June!

Marcus was likely dead, killed by the Inquisition, or so it was believed. Then the vampire was found, broken beyond words, in an isolated prison fortress. Marcus had never expected to see daylight again, let alone be rescued by his mate. Now he worries he’ll drag Caleb into his darkness.

Caleb was the one who pulled Marcus out of his prison cell, and he’s determined to drag him from the nightmares of his mind as well. After all, that’s what mates are for, and Caleb had lost hope at finding his. And if he can help destroy the entire Inquisition? Well, all the better.

Dealing with Marcus’s physical and mental healing from his trauma is difficult enough, but Inquisition holdouts are causing chaos everywhere, and sinister plots are rampant. Marcus and Caleb have no choice but to fight back. It’s a good thing they are not alone.

Author Interview for A Mage’s Power

Found this old interview I did for A Mage’s Power before the book released which was never posted on the blog it was done for.  So, I decided to post it here for you all.  Some of the questions are dated, but may still hold interest.  Who knows?

What is the most recent thing you read/watched that inspired you?

Well, since I’m working on my fantasy trilogy, I’ve been watching far too much Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, and listening to Peter Hollens covers.  But they’re just so great for putting me in that headspace.

Do you write multiple stories at the same time? If so, how do you juggle them?

I’ve been writing all three books of the trilogy at one time, and the answer is “I have no idea.”

What are your hobbies?

I believe reading is a given.  I’m also gamer.  I love RPG’s and shooters.  Just give me an open-world and let me go.

Do you write other people into your stories? Do your friends ever recognize when you turn them into characters?

Some of my first stories from when I was in junior high and high school, involved my friends.  They loved the fact they could be in them.  Now, it’s not so direct.  Rather, I am inspired by aspects of people.

Do you feel nostalgia for childhood media (cartoons, movies, action figures) coming through in your writing? If so which cartoons/etc? And how?

I laughed far too much at this question.  See, I may or may not have Hex Girls songs from Scooby-Doo on my playlist for A Mage’s Power.  So, the answer to that question is an enthusiastic “yes.”

Do you have a group of writing friends? What’s that like?

I belong to a local writers club.  It’s been a great asset to me, and I’ve made a few close friends there.  I also have hosted a cabin for Camp NaNo for the past couple years and have gathered a really great core group of people from there.  It’s so nice to have other writers to bounce ideas off of, encourage each other, and problem-solve things with.

Does your book have a theme? What theme does it have? Did you develop the theme intentionally?

All of my books have running symbolism with stars, as well as the meaning of home, or finding one’s home.  It certainly wasn’t intentional, and it took me a while to notice it.  I still do it subconsciously.

Special Request/Reminder

When you're leaving reviews for A Mage's Power here on Goodreads, don't forget to pop over to Amazon and crosspost the review there as well. Not only does it help tick over certain algorithms for me, but once I hit so many reviews there, I can start the AUDIOBOOK! That's right, there's going to be an audiobook. But, unless I start racking up those reviews, the process can't even start until 6 months after the book released. Obviously, the sooner we can get the process started, the sooner you all can get it! :D So, thank you in advance for helping make it happen. I know we can do it!

Stay magical Wolfe Pack!
