Thanks to all who preordered, are already reading or plan to read soon!

Elizabeth alighted from the carriage in front of an undeniably impressive town house in Mayfair and paused. Darcy’s house was very wide, much wider than the ones it was situated beside, and seemed somehow taller as well. There were symmetrically placed arched window...

News! (And a giveaway…)

Greetings and happy spring! When I haven’t been buried in work, I’ve been…hmm, I should say I’ve been writing, but in truth, I’ve been using my free moments to walk and enjoy spring!

Can’t you imagine Elizabeth taking a ramble alongside this stone wall?

Mostly, though, I’ve been working or sleeping. Sickness and some unexpected tasks have made my writing life take a back seat to “real” life. This means I still owe a few intrepid readers the last installment  “On Air.” (SAF and Rebecca K., I saw ...

Happy Release Day for Body and Soul!

A reader suggested this story’s plot bunny, and it turned out so well. If you’ve been following the snippets on Facebook, you’ll know that this is a redemption story of sorts. Mrs. Bennet and Elizabeth must overcome their differences, but not just them. Mr. Bennet and Mr. Darcy also switch bodies, though later in the story. They must also overcome the struggles that exist between them and their respective ladies.

P&P Prelude to Pemberley: Georgiana’s new Household

Georgiana’s New Household

May 7, 1811

The moment the sea came into view, Georgiana pressed her nose to the glass like a child. The coach had been groaning over hills for the better part of the afternoon, and the rutted lanes leading into Ramsgate had begun to wear on her nerves—but now, at last, the sapphire edge of the horizon flashed between rooftops, and she forgot everything else.

“It is exactly as I pictured it,” she breathed.

Mrs. Younge, seated opposite her with her gloved hands neatly ...

Pride & Prejudice Cover Design Contest—Part 2!

Hi friends,

First, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in my original Pride and Prejudice book cover contest here on the Austen Variations blog! I’ll admit—I was a little nervous at first. I worried that either there wouldn’t be enough votes, or that the responses would be so evenly spread out that I’d end up with a tie. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case at all! We had a clear winner, and I’m so grateful to everyone who took the time to share their thoughts.

Now that the winning de...

Before Elizabeth

I’m glad you’re enjoying the Prelude to Pemberley segments so much! Although this isn’t an official one, it really could have been. It’s actually an excerpt from the prequel portion of my novel Fitzwilliam Darcy in His Own Words,  before Darcy has met Elizabeth and he’s considering marriage in a very logically minded way. [If any of you have read the marvelous book The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion, there’s a little of Don Tillman in this incarnation of Fitzwilliam Darcy!]

So Darcy’s not looki...
