News about The Guardians of Pemberley

Reynolds: The Guardians of Pemberley

Yes, The Guardians of Pemberley, Book 3 of Fitzwilliam Darcy, Mage, is still coming out in September, and it’ll be full of romance, excitement, and magic!

It’s not going to be quite what I expected, though. In a good way! And it’s all my editor’s fault.

Here’s a dialogue of what happened with my editor, translated into what we really wanted to say rather than the polite interchange it was:

Editor: Abigail, you need to make some major changes. [outlines change...

Early sneak peek of “Threatened By Turns”

One of my favorite kinds of Jane Austen variations is when we have a story that follows all or part of the plot of the original story, except that there is something going on in the background that changes everything. From stories in which Elizabeth and Darcy are secretly married before they meet at the Meryton Assembly—giving Darcy’s initial insult all new meaning!—or stories in which Elizabeth is secretly wealthy or well-connected, these kinds of stories always intrigue me.

Shadows of the Past is AVAILABLE

Good Morning to Everyone!

The blog schedule has been full this week, so I am late posting about my new release. Shadows of the Past came out last Sunday, and if you subscribe to my newsletter, you know my mom had a full hip replacement this week, which is why I dropped the novel a full two weeks early. My mom is doing well, thankfully, and recovering.

Here’s the blurb:

Elizabeth is not a Bennet. The circumstances that brought her to Longbourn are shocking. Darcy might be the only person who can...

A Sneak Peek: The Unexpected Heir

Hi there! I am working on final edits on this, but I wanted to give everyone a heads up that it’s coming. I am hoping before July, but of course, that depends upon the schedule of others as well as my own. This is strictly Regency, but is also a fantasy with bits of different magical lores included as well as some Arthurian legend. I’m excited for you to read it. It has gone through edits, but has not yet been proofread. Forgive me any typos!

So, without further ado….

Planned in the Cradle: Darcy and Anne

“What a fine pair they are,” said Lady Catherine de Bourgh, tilting her dark, lace-capped head sentimentally to the side, for effect. “Surely no finer children were ever seen in England.”

“You are right, I believe,” her sister Lady Anne Darcy answered placidly. “My little Darcy is remarkably strong and intelligent, and twice little Anne’s size.”

“Quite fitting, as he is a boy,” said Lady Catherine, her eyes darting from one to the other. “Have you thought of their futures, Anne?”

“Their futures...
