first time in ages we’ve got a proper evil companion in an AAA video game and you just want to ruin him so you can feel better about yourself being such a good person? how dare you.

i’am a sucker for redemption stories, I really am, but sometimes I just want to have an option to see a beautiful trainwreck of a man who ruins himself and don’t have a option to fix it, cuz fuck that, honestly.

he is a beautiful, harmful catastrophe and I love him that way too much to try and lure him away from his wicked ways.

I made a research y'all. Behold:

Main Craracter + Astarion = Lae'zel + Wyll (Lae'zel comments in the morning, she didn’t enjoy her night w/ Wyll)
MC + Lae'zel = nothing (Astarion comments in the morning, he is salty)
MC + Wyll = Lae'zel + Gale (Lae'zel comments in the morning, she didn’t enjoy her night w/ Gale)
MC + Gale = Lae'zel + Wyll (Lae'zel comments in the morning, she didn’t enjoy her night w/ Wyll)
MC + Shadowheart = Lae'zel + Astarion (Lae'zel comments in the morning, she enjoyed her night w/ Astarion)

Some thoughts on “kill Cazador” option while I’m having breakfast: what will happen to other spawns after we kill Cazador? By killing him will we unleash a herd of hungry vampire spawns on Baldur’s Gate? They won’t be able to turn people, sure, but how many will they kill before someone put them down? Or will we kill em ourselves? Are there any other options? What is the difference between Astrarion and the rest of Cazador’s spawns? Hmmmm

to his not so great performance.

Cazador was very controlling of his
spawns.

“Thou shalt obey me in all things.

Thou shalt not leave my side unless
directed.

Thou shalt know that thou art mine”

Now, can you believe that Cazador would
let Astarion out to have fun when he is not busy torturing him? Me neither.

I can see Astarion and all other
spawns just standing in Cazador’s lair along the walls, striped of their
clothes to show his poems carved into their skin. Pieces of his art, put on
display like open books or painting in a museum. Maybe Cazador is resting at
the moment – it doesn’t mean they can move. If they dare to, he’ll flay them.
Again.

Sure, Astarion’s job was to seduce people
and lure them onto Cazador’s table. But I don’t believe Cazador would allow
Astarion to lay more than a finger on his future dinner, not to mention uhh bodily
fluids exchange.

With all that in mind… I think there is a possibility
that a night with MC is a first (or first consensual, if you consider Cazador
abusing him this way) sex Astarion had in 200 years. So some difficulties are to
be expected.

Now if that’s true then MC is a ridiculously
special snowflake ahah. They are Astarion’s first taste of sentient beings
blood and his first (good) bang in 200 years. That’s a lot of weight to carry!
I’m actually relieved that Lae’zel can share this burden with MC.

In conclusion:

1. I CAN’T WAIT to see Cazador’s lair.
