Monthly Theme 7: Entries & Winner
Photo by Michał Parzuchowski on UnsplashHappy New Year, dear reviewers!
For the Reviewsday Tuesday Monthly Theme in December 2023, reviewers were asked to submit reviews based on any of the previous themes of the year (or the idea of “second chances” itself) for the opportunity to win a small cash prize.
The winner will be announced at the bottom of this post, but first, let’s review all the wonderful entries, grouped loosely by the previous monthly themes (although many fall into more than one category). I hope you’ll join me in reading, clapping for, and commenting on the entries in the contest!

🍾🥂🫧The Winner🫧🥂🍾Thank you to everyone who submitted a review this year, whether as part of the Monthly Theme or not. Starting this publication in 2023 was an honour and a joy, and it has been a wild ride being your editor, but I couldn’t have done any of it with you: the writers.
Without further ado:
WINNER: Willow Dickerson’s review of Doctor Who!
Willow’s review encompasses this month’s theme — and several previous monthly themes — the best of all the entries. Normally, I would deem this review ineligible to win a prize because its fantastic author also happens to be an editor of this publication, but I’m the owner and I make the rules, so congratulations Willow! Your reviews (and help editing the publication when I was off traveling or getting married) have been stellar all year, and I can’t wait to see what 2024 brings!
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Monthly Theme contest during 2023! If you would like to write for Reviewsday Tuesday but haven’t done so before, check out the submission guidelines. I am accepting new writers at this time.
Reviewsday Tuesday Submission Guidelines
The monthly theme will go on temporary hiatus in January. I hope to pick it up again in the spring, so keep your eyes peeled and subscribe to the Reviewsday Tuesday Newsletter for updates on future themes, contests, and prizes.
