Amazon advertises 'Letter from Alabama' paperback at nearly half price
As I write this, Amazon is advertising the paperback edition of 'Letter from Alabama' for as low as $5.00 per copy, or 55% of the usual $8.99 price. I'm assuming this is the edition that's offered to booksellers through Ingram Books. It's a high-quality printing job. Here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VQIIODK
'Letter from Alabama' is the inspiring true story of two orphaned and abandoned children saved by grace and a family's love, and by a startlng letter that traveled hundreds of miles in an envelope and landed in the pages of a newspaper.

A powerful image, a powerfully true story
A 'story behind the story' of 'Letter from Alabama' is the compelling book cover created by graphic designer Luis Prado of Olympia, WA. I was beyond happy when he agreed to create the cover for the book, as well as 3 maps that are important to the story. Luis read the manuscript, asked for copies of several old family photos, and went to work. His final creation was the result of his ingenious mind and how it processed several different photos. The fact that Luis made such a strong cover image out of very small faces in 60-year-old snapshots shows his skill and meticulous eye for detail. When I first saw his creation, I was startled. . . it was that powerful. I believe Luis got to the very heart of 'Letter from Alabama,' the true story of a little boy saved by grace and a family's love, and by a letter. See into the face of a little boy who made all the difference
Sometimes it's good to picture how a small child may someday make the world better. The thought came to me when looking at an adorable photo of a little boy named Ralph, whose life was shaken by a broken home in the early 1940s. With no formal training at all, he went on to become exactly the Dad that 3 children needed after they lost their birth fathers. Ralph is one of the heroes in 'Letter from Alabama,' a true story of grace, love and people who stood up for children who needed them. Here's that photo of little Ralph: https://www.facebook.com/letterfromal...
