Caution...

Those made of flesh and blood shouldn’t laugh at fire.

Spiders...

We should be honoured that spiders live in our homes, weaving silken webs whose spectral architecture and geometric brilliance are millions of years old, like their species itself.

Ridding our space of other insects while also staying out of our way in some nook or corner makes them more than the perfect tenant.

We are rarely disturbed by spiders yet we end up disturbing them.

Language...

Among human languages, some go from right to left and others from left to right. What if alien languages go from bottom to top?

Perhaps as a symbol of their cultural ingenuity when they created innovations that helped them ascend their terrestrial limitations and transcend the vast reaches of space-time.

If we ever find an alien language,
we may need to read it in the ‘wrong’ direction.

Reception...

Receiving food-delivery vendors whose names we don’t even know makes most of us happier than receiving our own relatives.

What some people actually bring into our lives is more important than what some others unfairly expect us to bring into theirs.

Worship...

In the temple of uncertainty,
the gods of probability
receive worship.

Fate...

Fate is a great hunter whose arrow, inescapable, always hits its mark.

Tigers…

Tigers…
a. Hated by all jungle creatures.
b. Reason all the jungle exists.

Karma...

Karma is a dual currency. People have so little of the good kind and so much of the bad.

Asking...

Stranger: “Ask me and I will give it to you. As the ‘good book’ says, ask and you shall receive.”

Friend 1: “What’s he going on about?”

Friend 2: “If you don’t ask for an olive in your martini, don’t expect to find it there.”

The Nature of Justice...

Justice is rarely what you want it to be nor as honest as you need it to be. Justice is what your Government tells you it is.
