Writing

Spring is here! There is actual, visable sunshine outside my office window, and I am ridiculously pleased. I mean, I know it will rain again, but today? Beautiful!

I’ve finished writing, revising AND the copy edits for DIRTY WORK, book 4 in the Broken Magic series. Yes, that’s right–I’m adding a new Shame and Terric book to the series. It’s a fun, fast, short novel, and several familiar faces show up in it. Faces like Allie Beckstrom, Zayvion, and a certain gargoyle who loves stacking blocks...

Of Plans and Curiosities

It’s mid-January already, and my plans for the year are still in the “think it out, plan it out” stage. Oh, I know the books I want to write, and am tracking my word count so I can Make More Realistic Goals This Year, Devon (ha!) but there are several other authorly things I’d like to explore.

Just off the top of my head…what about serial fiction? I wonder if my readers, or heck, new readers would follow along as I released chapters of projects I’m working on, or little side roads and excerpts f...

Book Round Up 2022

This is going to be a short post, because 2022 was not a speedy writing year for me. I had hoped to publish four books in 2022, but landed right at three, with much writing, planning, and shifting around of other upcoming projects.

The Great White Tree Hunt

Last week, it snowed. Not a lot. Really just a dusting. But there is something about snow that really puts me in the holiday spirit, especially since where I live, there is no guarantee we’ll have snow in December.

Thanksgiving Plan

Due to ever-shifting family schedules, we don’t always have the big Thanksgiving meal on Thursday. This year we’ll be having our meal on Saturday.

What’s planned?

Turkey, ham, plant-based roast, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, yams. We’ll have canned cranberry sauce, orange cranberry relish, roasted brussel sprouts, and bread with homemade jams.
