Lots of Cute Surprises in my October Compilation

If you don’t follow me on Instagram or TikTok, or check out my YouTube much, you are going to find lots of cute surprises in my October compilation!

For one thing, there’s one video of me and the peach kitty you didn’t see, aside from the one that ran on my blog.

And while you saw my original 50s dress video, you didn’t see the video of me accessorizing it. I only posted the photos on the blog. But it’s in the compilation.

And even if you saw my Halloween High Jump video, you get a surprise here. My human divided my jumps into three separate short videos mostly for YouTube. They’re sprinkled through the last part of the compilation. It’s really fun to see them separated!

So I hope you really enjoy this one! As always, the video is separated into chapters so that you can skip around as you wish.

Caturday Bloopers

My human captured me in all sorts of awkward positions this week! So I have a lot to share with you.

See what I mean? And it doesn’t get any better.

She thought she could get some cute and arty photos of me peeking out of the bridge’s ironwork. This photo was neither.

The natural light in the hallway of the children’s hospital was pretty cool! So my human tried posing me in between the legs of a vintage carousel horse they have on display. But she took forever messing around trying to get the shot right. Maybe that’s why I look a little confused here. Plus my nurse’s cap is falling off.

You can tell I was not pleased about having to bring La Suegra along with me to the cat show.

My Day of the Dead Cat Show Wardrobe

I’ve got a cat show in Ventura this weekend! And it happens to be on Day of the Dead. So of course this is going to inform my wardrobe choices.

But not all of them! For example, I’m bringing my 50s dress along.

But I think I’ve picked out some good Day of the Dead items, like this cool goth dress and hat.

And of course I’m bringing out my Day of the Dead cat dress!

And look what my human sprung on me! A group of “special guests.” Including La Suegra. I hope my cat show space doesn’t get too crowded! Anyhow, if you’re near Ventura, I’ll be at the Ventura County Fairgrounds, 10 W. Harbor Blvd. in the Santa Cruz hall. I’ll be there from 10 AM to 4:30. If you’re not in the area, you’ll get the full report (and hopefully video) after the weekend.

My Weird Woodland Mystery Costume

When my human was out shopping without me, she saw this costume and she immediately knew she had to get it! So I’m modeling it for you today as my final Halloween costume of the year. I have no idea what it’s supposed to be. It looks like something out of Lord of the Rings.

It’s also made up of a bunch of different pieces. Usually that’s a red flag for a cat costume. But everything fit well and was actually really comfortable. Well, the head piece was a little awkward but I didn’t mind wearing it.

Possibly the weirdest part of the outfit was the leggings. My human had no problem getting them on, but they didn’t really seem to serve a purpose.

The head piece was kind of weird too, since I already have ears. But anyway, you can see a video of me modeling it below. Let me know what you think!

Dramatic Fall Portraits

I got some outside time in the afternoon, and it was the perfect time for a few portraits. My human didn’t have her real camera, so she pulled out her phone.

She tried a few different angles before settling on one she liked.

You can see why. But there’s more!

Check out the dramatic clouds in the sky! We rarely get really cool looking clouds like that, and my human wanted to include them in some photos.

I was helpful and struck a pose or two.

Therapy Cat Nurse on Call

Since the elastic wore out on my nurse’s cap, I wasn’t able to wear my nurse’s uniform for most of my therapy cat visits in October like I usually do. But my final visit for the month was the children’s hospital, and my human didn’t want to let the kids down. So she managed to sew in new elastic, which is a lot harder than it looks! And I was good to go. I wore both my costume and my cap for the whole visit.

My first stop after signing in was the arts and crafts table. I got to visit with a young girl for quite a long time, and a much younger little boy. After that I went through the lobby, and saw several kids who were excited to see me.

The exam rooms were really busy, so I saw a lot of kids. One was a cute girl in a paper hospital gown. While they were waiting to be seen, I sat on the couch with her and hung out. And I got to see a boy in another room while he was spending time on an IV.

One fun visit almost didn’t happen. My human opened up the exam room door to find an older boy focused on his phone. He said he wasn’t interested in seeing me. But then a little girl peeked out from behind his mom, and her face lit up. So of course we visited with her.

A lot of times the surgery area doesn’t have patients for us, or the patients have left already. But we went up anyway because my human knew the nurses and staff would love to see me in my nurse’s outfit. And this time there were a couple of patients to see! One was a little Spanish speaking girl who petted me for the longest time. The other was a teen boy who was lying on his stomach on the gurney.

Our last stop was rehab. My human saw a four year old girl playing in the waiting area, so we went in. She got called back right away so my human asked if any other patients were getting PT. One was finishing up, so we went in. It was a teen girl who was dressed in traditional Muslim clothing, so most of her body was covered up. She petted me for a while, and it was only after her mother fetched her wheelchair and she stood up did we see she only had one leg.

I had such a great visit! My human said it was worth all the times she accidentally stabbed her finger while fixing the cap.

Accessorizing My 50s Dress

You probably remember my 50s dress, and the bow that came with it. I was underwhelmed by the bow so I thought I’d try a couple different accessories instead.

You may remember the necklace from a while back. The beret is new. I didn’t have a black one, so my human ordered me one.

You can already see that the necklace goes really well!

And here it is with the beret! Now I’m really ready for the sock hop!

My human put it over my other ear so I could show off the poodle on the skirt without hiding my face.

Random Outtake Silliness

It’s time for this week’s outtakes! And surprisingly, I only had really good outtakes from two photo sessions this week. But they are good ones!

This is what happens when you try to fasten a chin strap with duct tape.

Isn’t the photographer supposed to wait until you are in position before taking a picture?

I think some of my treat got stuck on my veil.

Witchy Turret Photos

Turret season is ending, and this may be my last photo session here until spring. (The angle of the sun makes it too dark for enough natural light to come in 6 months out of the year.) Instead of letting me wear a princess dress, my human decided on a Halloween theme.

The cape was something my human recently acquired while out shopping for something else. You can see it better in this photo than you will in any of the other photos.

Because of the black and silver, I only had one witch hat that really matched it. Except there’s a problem.

It’s got a veil! Which puts an unfortunate barrier between my mouth and the treats I should be getting for posing.

Too bad there’s no video, because it was pretty funny when my human tried to give me treats under and around the veil! I’m not so sure how well this witchy turret photo session went, but there you go.

Cat World Series Domination

Can you believe it? The Dodgers are in the World Series this year, and they’ll be playing against the Yankees. It’ll be the twelfth time they’ve faced each other, but also the first time since 1981!

To be honest, my human doesn’t follow sports, and neither does her boyfriend. But at the start of the season, he got me this Dodger hat. So I figured I’d better put it on now.

Of course my human couldn’t just have me wear the hat. So she also ordered a Dodger shirt for me. And Dodger cat toys.

So I’m ready for the World Series! And even though I’m sure my human will forget all about watching it, she does know a little baseball trivia since she grew up in Los Angeles. Her parents were big fans of a Dodger pitcher named Sandy Koufax. And when the Dodgers were up against the Yankees in the 1963 World Series, he was on that team. And they shut out the Yankees, 4-0, with Koufax named the Series MVP! That was only one of three times the Dodgers have beaten the Yankees in the World Series. The Yankees beat them the other eight.

I’m ready for Cat World Series Domination! Because no matter who wins, we cats are still in charge!
