Developing my characters!

I'm having fun writing on my new book "A Mail Order Bride for Stevie." It's a blast as a writer to make your characters come to life. I like my characters to be all over the map, just like me!!:)
Probably my favorite moment as a writer is when I've got most of the story solid and a start to fine tune things. I love to work on the special touches that make a story sing. TAKE CARE and HAPPY READING!!!!!

A Mail Order Bride for Stevie!

I'm working on new romantic comedy titled "A Mail Order Bride for Stevie." I felt great about my last romantic comedy "A Woman Named Bagoo." I'm currently still getting the word out on that book.
I'm also having just as much fun writing "A Mail Order Bride for Stevie." I think my most enjoyable time as a writer is when I bath my characters in anxiety and stress. It's just so much fun to watch my characters freak out. Hopefully that doesn't make me sadistic. I'm a nice guy, really. Happy Reading!

Creative Thinking!

I'm working away on a new romantic comedy "A Mail Order Bride for Stevie." Romantic comedies are so fun to write. I find it creatively enhancing to take a few days off from writing occasionally and just think about the story. The short breaks help to put the story together in ways you could never do just by hounding the key board every day as you try to make some kind of word quota. As a side note when I'm not on a creative break I do try to stick to a 250 word count on my hectic days and about 1000 word count or so on my good days. I just know its also good to take creative breaks and just let your mind freewheel about the story. "A Mail Order Bride for Stevie" should be on the market before the end of summer or sooner. Happy Reading!

Just started a new romantic comedy

As I'm waiting to get my romance novella back from the editor I started writing a romantic comedy that I've been pondering over for the last six months.
I actually started on it today. I was working on "Gouie and the Outrageously Dirty Room" but shifted gears and decided to start the romantic comedy. I just felt a strong need to start something fresh and new.
"A Woman Named Bagoo" should be back from the editor and in the production phase within the next two weeks. Happy Reading!

Current book project and future projects

I've finished a "Woman named Bagoo" a romantic comedy. My editor is currently working on the book. Once I receive it back it will go into the production phase. Right now I'm working on a middle-grade novel called "Gouie and the Outrageously Dirty Room." I'm working through my fourth draft, but it may take as many as eight or ten drafts to finish it. I'm hoping to have this middle-grade novel finished by Jan-Feb. Once this book is finished I'll start working on the last Fritz Fombie book. Lots happening on the writing front in my house. Happy Reading!

"A Woman Named Bagoo" Romantic Comedy

I have finished the ending to "A Woman Named Bagoo." I didn't base the ending of the book on anything else other than my imagination. I really like this book. I hope my readers will feel the same. The romantic comedy is back in the hands of my editor. The book should be in the production phase by December. This book will be different from any other romantic comedy you have ever read. This could be a good thing or a bad thing. I'm placing my bet that it's a good thing. Originality can be a a double-edged sword. "A Woman Named Bagoo" is a very original take on romance. Happy Reading!

Ending change "A woman named Bagoo"

I'm rewriting the ending to "A woman named Bagoo." When you write a romantic comedy there needs to be a balance between humor and romance. You want the reader to be invested in the characters, while keeping things down right hilarious. You want the reader to believe that what their reading could happen in real life. I feel this novella could really be something special. I feel that I got a carried away with the humor at the end of the book. I've already done some creative thinking and I know exactly how I would like to change the ending. "A Woman Named Bagoo" should be on the market in December or January. I should have the book back to the editor by the end of the week. Happy Reading

Romantic comedy finished!

I just emailed my romantic comedy "A Woman Named Bagoo" to my editor. It feels great to be finished! This book went from being a novelette, to being a novella, to being a novel, then back to being novella. I feel the book speaks best as novella. It was a blast to write. Writing about love is almost as fun as being in love. The book is heavy on the humor side. Happy reading!
