Two Professional Book Reviews Of "ShBeep the Unique Sheep"
Below are two different professional reviews of my book "ShBeep the Unique Sheep." The first review is from the Manhattan Book Review and the second review is from the San Francisco Book Review. They couldn't more different.
Manhattan Book Review.
This is a precious story about friendship, acceptance, and originality. It’s also about the gift of imagining and the powerful impact it can have on the lives of those who dare to dream, transporting them to another dimension where they can escape the here and now. It expands children’s minds and opens up a world of possibilities in which resources no longer matter. All that does is the willingness to engage. ShBeep teaches Pop this, and it ends up being the glue that strengthens the bond of their friendship. Their journeys help Pop flee from the worries of her everyday life. They bring meaning and novelty, while for ShBeep, they break up the monotony. They are the spark that ignites and fuels both their lives. When youngsters read this heartwarming tale, they’ll be able to travel along with Pop and ShBeep, if only in their minds.
Author T. E. Antonino is masterful in his use of figurative language in this book. He laces the chapters with similes, metaphors, personification, alliteration, and even hyperbole. They’re noteworthy elements of the text, making it an ideal resource for teaching second and third graders these fundamental components of speech. Within the narrative, they enable young readers to envision the setting, characters, and more. An additional quality of the text children will enjoy is its hilarity. They will be equally touched by the sweetness within it as they will by the laughter it provokes.
San Francisco Book Review.
T. E. Antonino has written a very unique chapter book. First, the main character Pop is in fourth grade, but she acts in many ways more like someone much younger. Second, chapter books are usually designed for kids five to six years old, but much of the language doesn’t seem age-appropriate, and some of the messages in the book (such as a young girl being free to go off on such adventures without parental supervision or the idea of lying to get into the circus) seem inappropriate for readers of chapter books. While the book shows a good deal of imagination and fantasy, it would be hard for these reasons to recommend it for young readers.

"ShBeep the Unique Sheep" Book Review
“ShBeep the Unique Sheep” has a special place in my heart. I know when kids feel like they are different from other kids it can sometimes be saddening and disheartening for them. In my book “ShBeep the Unique Sheep,” I have two colorful characters who explore their uniqueness to the fullest as they discover what makes them outcasts makes them truly special in a very good way. My signature humor is woven into the story on every page and in every situation ShBeep and Poppy (the two main characters) find themselves in. All of the art in book is of my own creation. I believe “ShBeep the Unique Sheep” will be inspiring for young children. This book is a chapter book and was written with elementary kids in mind. If you feel “ShBeep the Unique Sheep” brightened up your child’s day, please write a review. I would love to continue writing about the crazy and zany situations ShBeep and Poppy get themselves in. Take care and happy reading!!!

“ShBeep the Unique Sheep” is now available for purchase!!
My chapter book, “Sheep the Unique Sheep,” is now available for purchase. It has been a wonderful journey, and I’ve immensely enjoyed writing this book. The front and back covers and inside illustrations are composed of my original drawings. The message from this chapter book is about the value of uniqueness and that it is a good thing to be different. “ShBeep the Unique Sheep” is also flooded with humor that I believe the kids will really dig. I think that many children will find Poppy (the protagonist) encouraging and relatable. ShBeep’s crazy ideas and outlandish creativity will make kids smile on every page. Thank you for all of your support, which has meant a lot to me. Thank you and happy reading!!

Problem Leo Tolstoy's "War and Peace"
I was almost halfway through with "War and Peace" when I found a huge mistake with the printing. Thirty eight pages were wrongly printed in the book. Now I have to go back to the bookstore and have them reorder it for me. As an incentive for reading the book I've decided to through a literary party once I'm finished. I've read about people who've been trying to finish the book for a decade and still haven't read the last page. Leo Tolstoy's "War and Peace" is like a literary marathon. I see it as accomplishment just to finish reading the book. "I'm really looking forward to that party!!! Happy Reading!

Working on a YA novel!
I'm working hard on a YA novel right now. It's a completely zany and crazy story that will hopefully keep teens laughing from beginning to end. The book is not a deep psychological journey into the teen mind. I wrote this YA novel to be humorous outlet for teens. I wanted to take teens far away from all the heavy troubles of their day and bring them to a place where they can have a rip roaring good time. I'm on the second draft right now.
I have also recently finished a chapter book. It will be on the market soon. Besides writing the chapter book I also drew 21 inside illustrations. The chapter book has a great message and it has plenty of funny moments through out the book. Happy Reading!!!

Current Book Projects!
It has been a little while since my last blog post. The good news is that I've been working away on two different books the whole time. I've finished up a children's chapter book that will be on the market soon and I'm on the second draft of a young adult novel. The YA novel will definitely be for teens. It's wild, zany, and one crazy roller coaster of a book. It's going to be a whole lot of fun to read. Writing is such a freeing experience. At times it feels like you're drinking tea, meditating, sitting in a hot tub, and getting a massage all at the same time. At other times it feels like you've forgotten how to spell your own name. Happy Reading!!
