Human Bulldozer (The Sonnet) | High Voltage Habib

I am no Gandhi, that I’d sit quietly and spin a wheel,
While people suffer in the clutches of imperialism.
I am no Guevara either, that I would shoot anyone,
Who looks suspicious, in my revolution for freedom.
Gandhi and Guevara are two extremes of human struggle,
One glorifies submission, another heralds new oppression.
Neither is fit for an infant world aiming to be civilized,
For one lacks backbone, the other weaponizes assumption.
We may take a little from Gandhi, a little from Guevara,
Without rigidity we may administer them accordingly.
I am an accountable human living in a world run by biases,
So most times I’ll keep quiet and act as a harmless dummy.
But whenever inhumanity goes overboard wreaking havoc,
The human bulldozer will rise to cleanse every epoch.

Beyond Evidence and Ignorance (Monk Scientist Sonnet) | Abhijit Naskar | Little Planet on The Prairie

I’m sorry, I cannot live a single cultural,
single lingual, single scriptural existence.
I want all the cultures and languages,
I want all the scriptures and sciences.

I am the epitome of reason founded on love,
beyond the grasp of either establishment.
I don’t need to be popular in either cult,
I live as lamp to the world not another lamb.

I am a scientist aware of facts,
I also accept faith as a right.
My struggle is again’t intolerance,
not to pamper either side’s narrow sight.

I once set out as a monk, that journey has
kept the scientist grounded in tolerance.
My truth is love, not belief or disbelief,
not coldened by evidence or blinded by ignorance.

“Brain is there to think first, then take a side…” Abhijit Naskar, Neurosonnets

Brain is there to think first,
then take a side,
but society teaches you to
pick a side first, then think alike.

In a world of flexible
spine and rigid mind,
muster an unbending
spine with expanding mind.

“Earth is a planet of paradoxes.” Abhijit Naskar, When Calls The Kainat

I don’t write for sheep, cows, monkeys and donkeys, who comply with customs of prejudice-n-patriotism, I write for the humans who can love their neighbor, defying state propaganda and cultural validation.

Earth is a planet of paradoxes, in the west the most criminal institution is considered most holy, in the east the most polluted river is considered most sacred – at the same time, some of the poorest nations are most humane, while the superpowers reek of prejudice and persecution.
